4 F’s: Fab, Functional, Fall Fashion

It’s hot..but I can’t help but long for the cool crisp days and nights of Fall. My favorite time of year is almost here and the reality of it is I have nothing in my closet that will fit me. Last fall I was expecting, so the maternity clothes have been given away and now I have an excuse to hit the stores for a few new things. I am a thrifty shopper so I am creating my game plan by thinking of functional pieces that will take me from my son’s pee wee football games to a night out with the besties.

So Friday night parties are not a norm for me but playdates, football games, and social engagements are. I need some pieces that will work for my lifestyle and not to mention I am nursing so functionality is a must…I would hate to flash anybody! Everyone needs a few staple pieces that can transition and be dressed up or dressed down. A few of my favorite retailers for clothing are BCBG, GAP and Arden B. Although they can be pricey at times, the quality of the clothing is unsurpassed, and classic. I’m not one to follow the trends so much, I would rather purchase timeless pieces and add pizzazz and color with my accessories. Here are a few pieces that are on my fall wish list and who knows, they may find their way onto yours too!!

Could be worn under a sweat suit
I would totally wear either one of the above over leggings or skinnys with a blazer and chunky jewelry

These sweaters are perfect for early morning games/lessons and hanging out

Mimi loves a skinny jean with flats, boots, or any shoe for that matter!!

Great finds! These looks are classic! I'll be shopping for styles like these to keep me looking pulled together with little effort (so necessary when running behind a toddler!)
