Who’s Bad? Your Parenting or The Child

There has always been a debate going on regarding whether or not children should be referred to as “bad.” Let some folks tell there is no such thing as a bad child, I am here to say different. I’ve seen “busy” and I’ve seen “bad” and there is truly a difference.

A few weeks ago after getting an update on our children’s behavior in school and having both children get the same report (good by the way, #youcare) my husband and I had a discussion on what is the make up of well behaved children. Genetics, home training, or a combination of both. Then ironically a few days later a friend of mine and I had the same discussion after she brought up the topic.

My Little Mermaid and Her Adventures

Social Fabric

As a child I loved The Little Mermaid along with An American Tale…I digress.

Back to Ariel.

I’m sure I am getting pay back now for all of the movies that I have to watch over and over again as a result of having subjected my parents to countless views of The Little Mermaid via VHS tape. Remember those?! I watched mine so much that the tape came out and my dad had to replace it.

To this day I still enjoy the movie and will cuddle in to watch it every now and then. My daughter as a result of having watched it with me and catching some of the episodes on The Disney Channel has also gained a love for Ariel. Being the girly girl that she is I went out to Walmart  and purchased her an Ariel dress up set to tickle her little fancy and to keep her from dressing up in my clothes.

When she put on this dress it was like magic. She twirled and sang about being a mermaid and continually told me that her name was Princess Ariel and she needed to go to Disney World!

Tanger Outlet Shopping Haul

Disclosure

Happy Friday!!

A few weeks ago, I mentioned here that the baby and I took a trip down to the Tanger Outlet location in Locust Grove to do a little shopping. I actually frequent that location to do most of my clothes shopping because not only are the deals great but because it is closer to me than the nearest quality mall.

I used my gift card to pick up a few things for Addison to head back to school. Here’s a short video of all the goodies that I managed to squeeze in on $50!
