Milani Powder Blush Swatch and Review

Like most people I love a good “beat” face. I pin images on Pinterest, I jot notes from Instagram pictures on various make up products and colors that I wish to buy and never get around to getting. I suppose my life as SAHM/WAHM just isn’t conducive to me putting on makeup daily, which has translated into me not really owning a plethora of the pretty colors and bougie brushes like most of you.

Just a few days away from the age of 36 I’ve decided that even if I’m not wearing it everyday I want to have an arsenal of pretty makeup that compliments my skin tone for those times when I want my face made up. I want some of those pretty expensive brushes and all of the good stuff. So my journey begins here with my new Milani powder blushes.

I was sent these blushes for review and upon taking them from the packaging I was smitten with how pretty they were and even more smitten that all of the colors would compliment my skin tone from bold to subdued.

Milani Powder Blush Review

These blushes are very pigmented and soft. Just a swirl of the brush picked up a decent amount of color allowing me to blend in more color if needed.

I’m not the best at swatching but I wanted to show how well these colors work with darker complected skin tones. I piled it on but of course after blending the color won’t be so stark.

Romantic Rose 01

Tea Rose 08

Coral Cove 05

Romantic Rose and Tea Rose were very similar with the exception that Tea Rose had a little more pink while Romantic Rose was more on the mauve side. I like both but if I had to make a choice I would go with the Tea Rose. I see that color getting a lot of love from me.

The Coral Cove was a little bold for me but I think for a girls night out or an outing that would call for bold color I will definitely give this one a whirl.

I love those blushes! I have 6 of the 8 shades and they are all so smooth. I have to confess that I bought them initially because of the beautiful packaging, but the product inside is just as wonderful.

Love the Coral Cove! The Romantic Rose would be great for a couple’s night out because it does have that romantic pink look to it and the Tea Rose could probably be more of an everyday because it’s not too bold in color.

I love blush. It’s like adding a little warm sunshine to your day. I haven’t purchased blush in a long time but I will venture out and try at least one of these fab shades.

While I love a good “beat face”, I must admit, I’m not a blush wearer. Had I shopped for blush prior to reading your review, I would have totally overlooked these colors; nonetheless, I adore them on your skin tone! I too have dark skin and will certainly give these Spring lovelies a try!

I’ve never been good at applying blush. LOL!

The most makeup I wear is only for my eyebrows, but I do want to see how different brushes of a higher quality would make a difference. I try not to spend too much time on makeup as I’m already pretty pressed for time in the mornings. LOL!

I’ve never worn much makeup so I definitely need to step my grown woman collection up. I can’t wait to see how these look on you. It’s alway motivation for me to want to step out side of my box when I see something looking cute on you lol!

I love these colors…are they a cream blush or powder? I usually take screenshots of makeup so when I go in the store I can look through my pics…but that usually makes for a lot of extra pics in my phone LOL

Lemme co-sign what MJ and my namesake Carissa posted. I play in makeup but I’m going of YouTube tutorials so that makes me clueless. I try to do BB cream or concealer, blush, mascara and lipstick for work. I own about 10 blushes. 3 are Bars but I really want one of these. Closes eyes, LOLOL!! Send me the one you don’t want 🙂 Looking forward to a lipstick review.
