Me

It’s Party Time…Oh, It’s Party Time

….or not.

In a few short weeks I will be turning 35. Oh, 35 you came too soon. I’m like 5 whole years to 40.

I’m normally not a party girl, but I do recognize certain milestones require special recognition and 35 is one of those years.

I’ve been tossing a few scenarios around in my head regarding whether or not I want to get down with a shin dig. I’ve been given a budget and I even have a party planner. However, the cheapster in me can’t see paying that type of money for people to come and celebrate MY birthday. Keep in mind I didn’t have a wedding so this would be a first for me in the arena of shelling out big bucks for people to eat and drink in celebration of a life milestone.

So I have to make my mind up soon and very soon because invites will need to go out in the next week. I’ve taken to Pinterest. In the event I do partake in the party life here are a few inspiration photos:

What do you think? Should I stop being so cheap and just have a party or put the money in my pocket and hit the spa and the mall?!!

I think you should do it big!!! I love celebrating birthdays! Its definitely a worthy cause for celebration. I count every year alive as a blessing from God, so even if you dont go all out I think you should do something to commemorate the milestone 🙂

Girl if you don’t stop and do your big birthday party. I debated if I wanted to do something big for the hubs for his 35th but I decided against it but it turned out big without my doing. I am going to go extra big for his 40th already got it planed out and he is a few yrs from it. Go big or go home.

I say save the money and do a big bash for 40! I wanted to do one for my 40th (this year) but it doesn’t look like it will be happening. Guess I’m lucky I had a wedding because I have yet to have a big party for any milestone birthdays!

LOVE your inspiration photos! I think you should definitely have a party, but there are lots of ways to make it affordable! Don’t overspend – you’ll have fun either way as long as you’re with people who love you! Happy birthday! 🙂

I’m doing it big for 40! I’m turning 35 in May and I know my budget isn’t where I want for it to be. BUT, if you have the money, go ahead and do it up!

Woot woot your b day is on the way!!!! Being a girl who didn’t have a wedding either ( I just don’t get down with spending our money for other folks to enjoy themselves) I say hit the spa and mall or take the money and have a romantic weekend with your Hubbie and let him spoil you
