ramblings

I used to do these types of posts back in the day, not quite sure why I stopped.  This blogging everyday thing can be challenging and since at this time I have nothing poignant or thought provoking to add to the internet I think I’ll just ramble.

This time of year is always so difficult for me because it’s time to start cleaning house in the sense of giving folks that have served their season walking papers. I’ve been thinking a lot about pairing down my personal FB page. So much passive aggressiveness there. I see people that refuse to like any of my photos but handing out likes in excess to other people. I need to figure out whether I will continue to let them spectate or send them on their way.

I am in love with my new haircut. It’s grown in a bit and I think I am about a 2 weeks away from the perfect length.

I am beginning to think that in a few years Thanksgiving will disappear and the two major holidays at the end of the year will be Halloween and Christmas. I see people with Christmas trees up already.

Speaking of, Christmas doesn’t seem to have any tradition to me anymore. Hobby Lobby has had Christmas up since July. It’s just not the same excitement and thrill anymore.

I am so tempted to do a post on what people aren’t speaking on when it comes to blogging full time. There are so many “coaches” and “brand experts” that have stepped up on the scene with no receipts. While I knock no one’s hustle I am all about FULL disclosure, and I’m sorry but some of those things are being swept right under the chevron rug upon which the desk and it’s perfectly placed mug and planner lies. I’ont know. I have to think about that a little more.

I can’t find our Elf on the Shelf. I guess I need to make that a priority.

Every year I say I’m not going out on Black Friday and every year I go. But for real, this year I’m not going.

We’re hosting Thanksgiving and there is no menu, guest list or any of that prepared as of today.

I just discovered Amazon Prime and OMG!! Certainly tardy to the party but I arrived nonetheless.

I have more than five but less than ten tattoos. I have one on my wrist, and desperately want to tatt the other, but I just keep thinking about what kind of Grandma will I be.

I think I am going to start taking ballet classes in the new year.

I think that’s it for now. Anything pressing on your mind! You know my virtual porch and ear are always available. Gone ‘head, I’m listening!

I just got on the Amazon wagon about 6 weeks ago or so when they ran a $67 special. I don’t know how I ever lived without it!

I wonder if the majority of blogging/brand experts’ money has come from telling others that they are a blogging/brand expert.

    Take the ballet classes!

Right! Like how did I ever exist without ordering something and having it show up within two days.

I have so many of these same thoughts. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays (much more than Halloween. I could skip right over Halloween if it wasn’t for my son.) I have many “friends” I’m considering ditching on Facebook. With a political year coming up, it’s bound to happen. Amazon Prime is the best! I’ve used it for years and I love it so much. My husband could do without my love for Amazon, though. And I used to go out on Black Friday with my brother (when stores would open at 4 or 5 am and not on Thanksgiving.) I don’t do it now – I shop online.

The Hubs deletes without mercy. He even unfollowed me on Twitter (before he completely deleted his profile) and for years he refused to follow me on Instagram or Facebook. Now he sends me text messages saying I post too much. *side eye*

I call this season “Hallowthanksgivmas” because that’s what it is. I cannot stand it. I need separation. The librarian in me needs categories.

What used to bother me were bloggers who would berate folks for blogging for free product or what have you, telling folks they should charge, but never explaining how to get to that point. I like transparency and instructions.

I just talked about the whole hair thing on my blog. I’m starting to look like Shaggy’s sister (the one they don’t talk about because, you know, things are all hush hush). I see lots of headbands in my future.

We’re celebrating Thanksgiving early this year. Like tomorrow. I’m hosting. I’m not ready.

Ok so I guess I need to check out Amazon Prime huh?!!
I have four tattoos and just got a nose piercing and I’m like “oh lawd”!! When I have kids what will they think??!! I’m 39 and still doing spur of the moment ish..
I’m not on Facebook, signed up and when they gave a list of people that I may be interested in following and those that may want to follow me, I said to heck with this ish…. I hear about it from others and just don’t have time for the drama… I’m on Instagram and I do unfollow those “acquaintances” that serve me no purpose or want to say snide remarks on my photos…
Thought about blogging when I see all the “new pay for me to teach you how to blog” but thought why do I need to pay? So yeah I’m chilling…

I am the only person on FB that has less than 100 friends. If I don’t speak to you at least once a month then you are not on my FB page. I was doing Amazon Prime but got off of it….I am thinking about getting it again because I loved getting stuff in two days….loved it. I am even thinking about purchasing washing powder and stuff from there to make my life easier.

I absolutely love this ramble. So raw and yes, I think you should fill us all in on the real deal with blogging full-time! I found myself nodding “yes” at most, if not all, of what you said…lol. I’m still trying to figure out this FB/Social Media think. Sometimes I think I’m winning at it, and other times I think I’m just not social enough. Again, loved this. Have an awesome week!

It’s not that hard to figure out, what is hardest is trying to execute it and run a family!

I also have more than 5 tatts & I’ve been itching for another! Hopefully that will happen before or right after the new year! We are hosting Thanksgiving again this year…what was I thinking? My maternity leave is nearing its end & I don’t want to go back into the office for work…wishful thinking. Oh & this new Young Jeezy album is bumpin.

Hey Boo!! I’m telling you, my thought is we all learned blogging from our boot straps because when we started there weren’t all of these for pay courses. I’m not hating, my thing is if you are selling information please tell the entire truth. I’m going to do the post. It will be up next week. How about I still don’t have a menu, went in Sams the other day and the cashier was like is this for Thanksgiving and I was like no, but thanks for reminding me that I’m a slacker!!

I can’t wait to see your post about blogging! As a newbie I like to listen to those who are REAL & actually doing it not just selling dreams! So I hope you know that you and a few others are appreciated for keeping it real! Oh & by the way I’m sure that your thanksgiving menu will turn out fabulous cause all your dishes always look so tasty & presentable. Mine on the other hand taste good but no fancy presentation…I’m gonna work on that for 2016! Lol.

I just love your blog Mimi…
I think you should very well get another tattoo. I’ll get one once a month if my funds allowed it.

I’ve noticed that many “bloggers” have selling so say info and whatnot. I ain’t buying though.

I totally agree about the holiday season, it’s been feeling like that for me for a long time. This year has been extremely hard because I lost my mom and I’ve been trying to learn to live again without her. So yeah the holidays will kinda suck….
