Weekend Wrap Up

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

I hope you and your family have a great new year. I am glad the new year is here and I am ready to hit the ground running.

This weekend was rather low key considering it was New Years.

With the start of the new year I felt it necessary to get a new look…This is only a small portion of what hit the floor.

After that was said and done, I started off the weekend by attending the Pre New Years Eve Bash hosted by Lexi and Danielle of Curls, Coils and Kinks and The Style and Beauty Doctor respectfully. The event was held at Sole Boutique here in Atlanta at Atlantic Station. Cute space. They even offered a 30% off deal but there were too many people there and I have to focus when I make purchases. I’ll definitely be back though.

Trina and I shut it down and then headed over to California Pizza Kitchen for some dinner.

Socks: T.J. Maxx Shoes: Ross

Saturday morning, I headed out to drop some shirts off to a lady who will be adding Swarvoski crystals to a shirt design. Headed back home for a day of cleaning and grocery shopping. As evening fell I decided the kids and I would head out to church, and the Mr. went to see some friends who were in town. Sad for us, when we got to church no one was there. Our church has two campuses and evidently I missed the memo. So we headed back home and I counted down and kissed my babies for the new year.

Sunday, we took my stepdaughter home. I came home and whipped up the obligatory collard greens along with some chicken and potato salad for dinner. I must say it was good. I’m going to be domestic yet.

How was your New Years? Were you a party animal, church goer or homebody? I wanna know!!

  1. You look so cute with your bangs!

This year, we stayed in. We were going to go to church on Sunday (regular mass), but I guess the whole week just caught up with us. We ended up sleeping in until 9. Sad, but that’s sleeping in for me!

Overall it was great. I would like to think that sleeping in is the beginning of me getting much needed and deserved rest throughout the year (I have to spin it any way I can).

  2. The pictures came out great!

I spent my New Year’s in bed.. sick. I kind of liked being at home all day though. I work entirely too much. I think perhaps this may be my body’s way of telling me to slow down.

  3. I love your new hair cut! looks really good on you and you still have lots of length to work with.

Sounds like you had a productive weekend.

Mine was low key. I hung out with my boo and baby girl for new years. Jas couldn’t hand tho so she went to bed before midnight. Me and honey counted down to 10 and then we smooched! It was perfect!

We spent sunday watching football and yesterday being sad that he had to leave us.

  4. Hmmm… why I didn’t know anything about such a fashionably fabulous event???!!!!! But you are killing that look… Seem like sooo much fun!!!! Gotta LOVE a great $ALE 2!!!! Can’t wait to see all the goodies I missed out on in the swag bag!!!!

BTW, that sucks about going to the wrong campus for church… Errrk!!!!

  5. We attempted to be party animals-kids and all-but the QC was lame this year and did do fireworks. We did get to see at this apartment complex during our search for a McDonald’s. We came home and watched movies on Netflix.

    Love the new cut!
