What’s REALLY on Your Mind?!!

The 5Ws and H of writing often extend themselves into our personal lives. If you need a refresher that would be who, what, where, when, why and how.

We’re always searching and reaching for what we are “supposed” to be doing. What is our purpose in life, how do we get there, who should we be networking with, why has our life taken its current direction. If we don’t trust our own selves and our ability to make and move ourselves in the proper direction then there are two other very viable resources that we often overlook.

God and our close friends….

I’ll leave the preaching for another time, yet some of us know the still small voice is always there. We just aren’t listening.

In the meantime…

Our closest friends and people around us be it virtual or IRL often see potential in us that we don’t see. This morning I was talking with my very good friend Erika, and we were discussing what our next steps would be and she mentioned to me something that she always saw me doing. Something that I can say I have considered but hearing her say it almost solidified it for me that it was a direction that I needed to be moving in.

Sad to say sometimes other people are more in tune with our talents than we are. We can be so critical and at times so sure of ourselves that we miss the most brilliant and equally unattractive things about our own being.

With that being said, there is a thin line between being what people think you should be and who you really are, and finding medium ground is key. However, I always find it interesting to hear what other people think of me and their criticisms be it good or bad.

I’m just curious what do you think of me based on what you “know”? When was the last time you opened yourself up to someone else’s thoughts of you? We’re talking the good and bad here..Let’s go!

I think you’re awesome and kind and funny and smart and beautiful! We’re really good buddies ( in my head). I think you can and will do anything you set your mind to. You really inspire me to go after my dreams and know that it’s never too late to start something new.

You can do anything you put your mind too. I have always thought you were a good photographer but that’s just my two cents. I am always searching for something to take me to the next level problem with me is when the going gets rough or I don’t see the end results clearly I give up and move on to the next thing and this time I am not going to do that.

I only know you online but I think of you as a go getter!! Someone who isn’t afraid to step out of the box, your style & thifting is an example of this. You don’t worry about what others have to say and you just for it! Am I right?

I like this post because I feel like it speaks to me, because I feel another passion calling my name…..BUT it isn’t necessarily a lucrative one, it just makes me happy & motivated. Not sure if I will get my foot in any doors….we shall see. I am motivated by you and several other bloggers to just put myself out there and see what happens.

It is funny how life changes us, and how people can (and cannot) see that change.

I think you are one of the most real people I’ve met out here on these Interweb streets! You present such an authenticity that resonates with me and your other readers as well. And you are funny as all get out! You know I believe in you and am here to push you higher than a toddler on a swing! Love & Hugs

You already know that I think you’re a wonderful person! I’ve come to you for advice and to vent on a few occasions. I love your sense of fashion and style. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that a career in fashion is in your future.

I love the love and passion you show for your family.

Great post! I think you’re very funny and say what others are thinking and are afraid to say. Your posts come from a place of “realness” and I think most women can appreciate that. You have great secondhand style and should hone in on that gift.

What do I think of you? I totally see you as a girlfriend “in my head” (love Wendy Williams). And I can always count on coming to your blog getting “girlfriend” material. You just seem like “good people.”

I can also tell that you’re very smart. And I respect that. I easily tolerate smart people — people who are smart enough to know they don’t know everything.

So, yeah, that’s my impression of you.

(Oh, and I sometimes wonder what people think of me, but I’ve never been brave enough to ask anyone other than my mom, husband, and friends. I’ve clearly taken the easy route!)

Awwww!! It is very hard because I think we have perceptions of what type of people we are yet people on the outside are seeing something totally different. That’s why I like to get the good and the bad, cause clearly there are people out here throwing all kinds of bad in the world and not seeing an issue with it.
