Lil Mama Milestones My Babies

Soooo Not Ready

Today, Lil Mama turned 8 months. Within the past few weeks she has truly made some incredible strides in her development. After what seemed like an eternity of drooling and fussiness she finally cut the cutest little “peg” on the bottom. She has become more verbal, her hair has grown long enough for me to put into ponytails and the biggest shocker of them all is she is already pulling up, and yesterday had the nerve to pull up AND let go.

An eight month old walker? I have a feeling she will go this month. We shall see, my son walked at 10 months, and he started pulling up only 2 weeks before he took his first steps. So looks like she has him beat. Guess I might need to make baby proofing a priority and from the looks of the picture below, I need to keep all clean laundry out of her reach, lest it hit the floor..*sigh*

How old was/were your child(ren) when they started walking?

How come I’m struggling to remember….I would say around 10 or 11 months. And he’s been moving ever since, lol.

It is amazing how fast they grow, especially in the first year. And I’ve always heard that 2nd children develop faster?

My parent said I started walking at 8 months and it was probably because I wanted to keep up with my older brother. We are 22 months apart.

It scares me how fast it all goes by! How can i slow it down? It’s only been 3 mths 🙂 He already trys to pull his upper body up when he is lying down, I have to hold him down and tell him he’s too young to be doing that, hehehehe 🙂

Bella started walking a day before her first birthday. Her birthday gift from me and her daddy were baby proofing items. She was a force to be reckon with… I guess you can say, like mommy, like daughter 🙂

jasmine started walking FORREAL at 11 months. Like cruising. Before that she started standing and taking a step here or there at around 9 months. She made up for the lack of walking with all this talking she does * smh* lol

I was walking AND talking by 8 months. My granny said when she would call I would get on the phone and talk to her.She thought it was my sister who is a year and 8 months older than me. She didn’t believe it was me until she came out from chicago to cali for a visit. She said she was shocked

My daughter – who is six years old now – didn’t start walking until she was 17 months old. But that’s because we were in the process of buying a house during her first year, and we had boxes all over our apartment, so she had no where to even crawl. So she didn’t start crawling until she was almost 12 months. My mom actually thought she was going to have problems walking because she walked late (probably an old wives’ tale), but today, you’d never know! She runs all over the house and is a runner in the running club at her school!

My son hit the pavement at 10 months too so he set the bar pretty high. Then JoJo comes along and wouldn’t walk until she was 14 months! Who does that? She could speak so well and could hold a conversation with you, but was crawling around. It was like a little talking gnome. Very weird. Slinky then followed her sister’s lead and didn’t walk until 13 months. So I guess it just really depends.

My little guys had no interest in walking for a long time. He never even attempted it until he was 16 months and then he just stood up and took off. *lol* Enjoy! A walker changes the game completely.

It’s true that babies will walk when they’re ready to walk regardless when you actually want them to. My daughter was walking at 7 months and my son took steps when he was 11 months but didn’t began walking well until he was 13 months.

Kaydence is 9 months now, but started pulling up at 8 months and letting go hitting that bottom on the floor, lol! She is all over the place, and I’m more tired these days. Guess she’s got to grow up though, right?
