Hey there! I’m Mimi. I live in a suburb of Atlanta with my husband and children. I am a full time digital influencer and own an online retail store at Unlikely Market. Most days I’m trying to figure up from down and right from left, in other words on my best day I’m a haute mess! The “Unlikely” is a nod to what you see isn’t always what you get!
Since August of 2010, I have used this online space to share my life’s ups and downs, struggles and triumphs. I’m dedicated to keeping my sanity and living my best life so I use a variety of tips and tricks that keep my home, family, business and social life somewhat together. I share those tips here. In a world so overcome with the perception of perfection it is my desire to use this space to subconsciously empower women to not lose themselves in the real realities of life and motherhood.
Unlikely Martha is about encouraging women to enjoy their lives, and embrace taking care of home without losing themselves in the process.
Posts on motherhood, travel, home organization, recipes, and DIY projects encompass the “Keep House” component, with fashion and beauty rounding out the “Stay Fly” portion of this space. I even do a little video and vlogging!
As a busy mother and business owner, I understand how hard it is to keep a tidy house and keep meals on the table while attempting to look half way put together. My goal is to provide valuable solutions and products that help women get their lives together one day at a time!

And it’s great you’re in ATL too… I’m here, but I don’t like it… at all! Before I go, it would be nice to meet up for a blogging mommy lunch or something… just a thought.
Oh, I’m still waiting on the link. I love my blog but I know it’s not fancy. I was thinking it’s because it’s a wordpress.com blog and not the self-hosted wordpress. I have to switch over soon. Since I do work online, it would be nice to have some carefully selected ads on my site, but that’s a dream on wordpress.com. It keeps stripping all the code!
Anyway, great work. I must save you to my favorites. 🙂

March 6, 2012 at 10:21 amThank you!!! I’m not a hair junkie at all. It has been a long road of trial and error to find what works for my hair. I am fully natural and I use Shea Moisture products. I have tried Miss Jessie’s and they do okay but for the price I’m riding with Shea Moisture. I use a good flat iron that I found on sale at my local Marshalls. I’ll do a post next week on my technique and such. It won’t be indepth like a Youtube video but it will give you a better idea. Thank you so much for reading!
