Oh HEEEELLLLLLL NAW!!!! lol That’s my answer to the blended family question, HA! I’m a step-mommy and the custodial parent (aka, bytch BM on wheels) is always ‘lying to kick it’. She needs a ride one week, ain’t got money for groceries the next… The same sound bite plays in my head ery’ time hubby comes to me with another one of her issues: ‘girlbye’. I’m with you, No to borrowing the car! It’s called co-parenting for a reason. Get your own. Get a life! Do I sound mad? Because I am…woooosaaaaaa…..
Heck no…. I can not even offer any advice because every situation is different. If you are dealign with a trifling parent they may want to borrow a car while a more responsible parent may ask for the non custodial parent to transport the child… IDK..
*fist bump on click the X* Yes, girl, I’m totally with you on that. And love the vlog and the .02 cent Tuesday.
It’s hard to co~parent but my husband’s ex~wife has been wonderful. It’s my daughter’s father… Anyway, NO, I WOULD NOT LET MY HUSBAND LOAN OUT OUR CAR. That’s absolutely insane.
I like this 2 cents!!! Girl, I am a stepmother as well and I say… Heck No! If it was the Father that didn’t have a car available the mother would prob just dog him out for not having transportation, I am sure they would not let them use the car. I really totally agree with the first comment : )
Your birthday dance vlog still goes hard, lmbo! In response to the borrowing of the car……helllllll no! Unless she had a history of acting like she had some good damn sense, she can’t even borrow a loaf of bread out of my house. If there was a real need, and we got along pretty well, I would probably give her a ride where she needed to go.
I love the .02 cent Tuesday idea and the birthday dance (lol)! Anyway… Heck No! I would probably give her a ride if we had a relationship like that, but if she’s a clown, she’d be on the bus!
I think when it comes to your ex you shouldn’t be things that you would do for your wife/husband. You have to set boundaries somewhere regardless of if you have children or not. As a parent your job is take care of your child not the other parent. I think that’s where a lot of problems come when you have a blended family. The ex still wants all the benefits they had when they were the mate. And that’s not how it’s suppose to be.
Whoever decides to become the legal fulltime guardian needs to make sure that they have all the necessary precautions in place. That includes a safe and consistent place to live, a job, transportation and common sense. They make rental cars for a reason.

May 24, 2011 at 10:54 pmThanks! I would think some things would be off limits. I wouldn’t even have the nerve to ask to hold the car.
