weekends around here + vlog

After Halloween passes I feel like tomorrow will be Christmas Day. The next few weeks will fly by as we get ready for the Holidays. I’m still looking at my planner like when did all of these pages get used because this year owed us nothing and kept it moving.

This weekend the kids were extra giddy about Halloween. This was the first year I didn’t have to do any of the Trick or Treating. They both were with their friends and unfortunately I wasn’t able to get photos of them together in their costumes like last year

Friday night, I slid out to Bahama Breeze for some eats with my inlaws to celebrate my SIL’s birthday. I didn’t get home until 2a, then was back up and at it early Saturday. I spent a large part of the weekend in my car.

Quietly, as my children get older I think I should get a proper chauffeur uniform because a large part of my life is spent driving them to and fro. I complain but it’s all good, soon they’ll be asking for the keys.

Weekend Happenings + Vlog

This weekend was the kick off to my children’s Fall Break so there were no weekend activities and it felt good to sleep in until an extra late 7:45a. Body clocks make me sick but nonetheless I was able to sleep until I woke up on my own, and was able to leisurely start my day.

Saturday evening we enjoyed a fun movie night on the green. Recap post to come later of that and Sunday I went to Target to get a PHONE CHARGER. Let’s just say I came out with enough stuff to do a Target haul.

Sunday, I ventured out to Goodwill and Dollar Tree which I pretty much do every Sunday. I’ll bring back my thrift hauls soon, because I’m hooked again. I had stopped thrifting because I wasn’t finding anything but my lucky strike is back on so I’ll be sure to share.

Weekend Vlog – Party Time. Mother’s Day

This weekend was laid back. Kind of put me in the feel of what the lazy hazy days of Summer are truly going to feel like in a few short weeks once the children get out of school. Speaking of Summer, these temps thooooo….HOT!

Mother’s Day was chill. I took the time to take a walk through my neighborhood. Sometimes peace and quiet is good. Glad I rested because those loads of laundry were sure waiting for me. If only men understood that giving someone a day off and not doing the work that they normally would’ve done is not a day off but a day deferred!

Weekend Vlog – Yard Sale Prep. My Son Vlogs

Yard sales to me are like food for my clutter loving soul. Who can beat purchasing little dust collecting items for small change? My neighborhood hosts semi annual yard sales and instead of walking the neighborhood collecting more things I didn’t need I decided to throw my hand in the ring and host my own yard sale.

I chronicled the mess that ensued prior to me putting out all of my once loved things. I was hoping to haggle with other clutter loving souls to get the best price for my stuff. I made a little change, considering these items would’ve been reconciled on a donation receipt from the Goodwill.

….then while I’m out there wheeling and dealing, I ask my son to bring my camera. It took him 15 minutes to bring it and when I went to edit this video I now know why. He took it upon himself to vlog…He’s a character. Check out the Scarletts on this weeks Weekend Vlog!!
