Our Generation Dolls Shop in Shop + $100 Target GC Giveaway

I was compensated for this post. I have a little girl that loves Our Generation Dolls and I love Target. This partnership is a match made in heaven!

Miniature dresses, shoes, and accessories are sprinkled all over my daughter’s floor. These items I speak of are in addition to her things, these miniature items belong to her dolls.

We are deep in the throes of all things dolls and while her children/ my grandchildren as she likes to call them can’t clean up after themselves it makes me happy to see her playing with them instead of being in front of the television.

Her collection of dolls is extensive and comes with some of the cutest accessories. I won’t lie and say I haven’t  had some difficulty in the past locating dolls that look like her but I’ve never had an issue with the Our Generation Dolls collection at Target.

Our Generation Dolls

Our Generation is more than just a collection of dolls and accessories, they have a story to tell that is empowering and entertaining for young girls.

” Our Generation is unlike any that has come before. We’re helping our families learn to recycle,
holding bake sales to support charities, even holding penny drives to build homes for
orphaned children in Haiti. We’re helping our little sisters learn to read and even making
sure the new kid at school has a place to sit in the cafeteria…

Our Generation is about girls helping girls who are less fortunate
because they want to and because they know they can.

And packaging that’s eco-friendly for a generation who wouldn’t
accept anything less.

It’s about accessories that speak to the multifaceted lives girls live.

It’s about quality dolls at prices aimed to not exclude anyone.

It’s about giving girls a voice to create and shape a community they love.

It’s about a very important generation and its story.”

I had the pleasure of working with Our Generation Dolls at their in store event at the Target in Acworth, GA on October 8 when they hosted a “Make your own Halloween mask” workshop. I had never seen a larger collection of Our Generation products in store before, and there was a reason. The Acworth location is one of the largest and best selling locations for Our Generation Dolls in the Atlanta area and the company recently launched a new shop-in-shop concept there.

If you are in the Atlanta area, this location will be hosting two more in store events this year. These events will be held on November 12th and December 10th, great weekend Mommy and me activity for those in the Atlanta area.

When I wasn’t helping the store guests with their masks I was looking at all of the Our Generation Dolls and accessories.

Chicken Veggie Crescent Braid Dinner Recipe

Never mind that I am supposed to be watching my carb intake. We are now entering the season of comfort food and while I made this chicken veggie crescent braid early on in the season file this away under quick and easy comfort food. The 2 cans of crescent rolls you will need to make this don’t fit into the healthy category but the flaky buttery goodness is so worth it.

Chicken Veggie Crescent Braid

Start with 3 cups of cooked chicken breast. I simply seasoned and browned mine in olive oil. Once they were fully cooked I put them in my mixer to shred. You can also use leftovers from an oven roasted rotisserie chicken.

Shred chicken breast in a mixer to make this chicken veggie crescent braid recipe.

Once the chicken is shredded mix in your veggies, marscapone, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.

Now is the time to roll out two rolls of crescent dough. Overlap them and press together to seal.

Use canned crescent rolls to make this chicken veggie crescent braid.

I have learned that aluminum foil and parchment paper do not function in the same capacity. I mean you can use the foil but you’ll be happier with the parchment paper. Trust me.

Now comes the fun part of lying the mixture in the middle of the crescent dough. Once you have it laid out, try to ignore the perforations and make your own tiny slits and alternate lying them across the mixture to create the braid.

Sorry, forgot to get a picture of the before braid. But here is the after.

Yummers!

This was my first time ever making a braid and I was pleased with how it turned out. Even if I wasn’t, the taste would’ve made up for it.

The S N A P S of L I F E

Y’all. The foolery of my technological setbacks knows no bounds.

I took my vlogs away because my phone had no memory, nor did my computer. Well, I did get that iPhone upgrade but this computer is another story. Just send good vibes that it holds on until Black Friday.

I thought it would be fun to introduce a new series called the Snaps of Life. Weekly, I’ll compose all of my best snaps and instatories and combine them into a collage of fun video clips of our week. See what 128 gigs on an iPhone will do.

I know it’s not the same as our vlogs but you get to share in our little family moments just the same. I had the genius idea a little late in the week so this video is just a little over a minute but the coming weeks will be more.

If you want to see the action as it happens follow me on Snapchat and Instagram at UnlikelyMartha or just tune in on Sundays for the outtakes!
