Style Me Friday- Short Suit

I’ve been in a blah mood lately, and since nothing cheers me up like dressing up I am jumping back in and linking up with Eboni over at Fashionista Next Door for her Style Me Friday feature.

This week it was all about the short suit. Whether you bought it together or you put it together, shorts and blazers are all the rage this season. Dressed up or dressed down this combo just works. Oh and let me tell you about the shorts with the sailor design…does wonders to hide the pooch. Thank me later

I tried to keep with the inspiration photo by going with a print and solid, I just inverted them. I also did a little print mixing as my tank top is striped.

Style Me Friday..Sweatpants and High Heels

I missed last week because the weather was nasty and I couldn’t get outside to take pictures but I’m back this week rocking sweatpants and high heels!

These pants are proof that trends are cyclical. I bought these pants in 2000. They came with a track jacket that had Bebe across the back. I thought it was the flyest set ever. However in the span of 13 years and endless amounts of moving the jacket got lost in the shuffle, however the pants have been loyal along the journey. I actually use them as my house pants and if they didn’t have paint stains on them I would probably rock them outside but in their current state they are only good for Style Me Friday photos taken in my backyard!! The jacket is equally as old. I think I purchased it with my first paycheck at my first real job…AHHHHH..that’s my slide down ~~the rabbit hole~~ memory lane!

Style Me Friday- Daytime Sparkle

I’m linking up with Eboni today for Style Me Friday. This week the challenge was making sparkle work for daytime. I didn’t go too literal on this one, but I did try to capture the look. So while I didn’t have a striped shirt I did make sure to pair my sequins pants with a printed top. No sandals because its too cold and they are all packed away so I opted to go with a nude pump.

I don’t really think I killed it this week but at least I got to wear my pants that I bought in the kids section at Target!! Make sure to check out the other looks over on Eboni’s blog.
