I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for T3. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.
Dependent on the location and age of your home you can either have soft or hard water. In our old home our water was in the middle. We had good water pressure and the water definitely got hot. Against all recommendations for not bathing in scalding hot water, I loved to take a walk on the wild side and as a result my skin was often extremely dry after getting out of the shower.
I was sent the T3 Source Shower Filter to try out before we moved and the installation was a breeze. After a little struggle getting our old shower head off I was able to install the T3 by myself.
I had plans to do a video installing the unit here in our new house but it was placed in a box that hasn’t been found yet! Since I don’t have an IRL video to show you how easy the installation is take a peek at this video.
I’ll admit I was a little skeptical regarding the claims on the unit but I went into the experience with an open mind.
As far as my skin is concerned I felt immediate results. I would say within about 3 days, after showering my skin didn’t feel as tight and “stripped” as it had before. I didn’t notice a difference while showering, the water felt the same coming out of the faucet I just noticed the effects after drying off prior to applying lotion.
I can’t really vouch for the hair benefits. I don’t wash my hair enough to say that I could really see the benefits in such a short time of use. I only washed my hair twice and while it didn’t feel as brittle and dry as it normally does my hair was still hard to detangle. I’m not trying to be funny but I just wonder if these claims are tried and true for African American hair as well, although it is recommended to use at least 10 times before seeing results where your hair is concerned. I will take it not feeling as dry as a major victory because once I pressed out the hair I could feel a little difference in the texture and over all look to my hair.
The T3 Source Shower filter takes the amount of Chlorine levels in water and breaks them down in the filter to levels that aren’t as harsh to our hair and skin. Outside of the hair and skin benefits, let’s get into the 8 water settings that had me wanting to stay in my shower forever. I could almost care less about the benefits to the hair and skin when the water settings feel so good! I honestly A real win/win situation. The filter needs to be replaced every 6 months, to maintain optimum benefits over time.
Once I find the box with the showerhead in it I will be installing here at our new home. I am anxious to see how well it works during the cold winter months and how its use over time may help my hair become more manageable.
Be sure to visit the T3 website and Facebook page for additional information and details.

August 15, 2013 at 11:19 pmI tried a filtered showerhead once and the difference in your skin is amazing. I’ve been trying to get my hands on one of those inexpensive ones at Wally World but they stay sold out. Looks like I’m going to have to break down and splurge on one from the home improvement store, but I know it’ll be worth the price over time.

August 19, 2013 at 7:22 amI had never heard of them until this opportunity. It really does work wonders. I am really glad to have it during the winter months when my skin gets really dry and itchy.
