This weekend was nothing spectacular.
Friday evening I went to get my eyebrows waxed. When you can’t remember the last time you’ve had them done…that’s a major problem. Left there looking like a new person and headed over to Macy’s with Lil Mama in tow for the one day sale to use up the $25 Klout Perks giftcard that I received.
I guess all that thrifting has worn off on me. I ended up only purchasing a few accessories and a tube of red lipstick that I had been looking for. Get it home, and its…meh. I’ll rock it though. I’m linking up with Monday Mingle with BonBon Rose Girls
I wore:
Orange Sweater: Christian Dior (thrifted: Goodwill) Gray Top: Tex by Max Azria (Sears: $6.99) Scarf: Etsy Jeans: Old Navy Boots: “Molly” by Sole Society
Saturday, my worst nightmare came true. Lil Man had an early football game. I was late getting ready and sent him with my neighbor who he sometimes goes to practice with and they got in a car accident. I have been telling myself that I can’t keep him close to me forever so I recently started letting him venture out and this happens. I will be pulling the reigns back in. The car was banged up pretty bad but everyone was fine. I still took him to the ER just to have him checked out. No football game for us.
We came in, took a nap and I headed out to do the grocery shopping for the week…booooooooooooooo. I. hate.the.grocery.store.
Sunday we carved the pumpkin.
I cooked orange roasted chicken, mashed sweet potatoes and peas, and I attempted to make some cookies that I found on Pinterest. Dinner….check!!

Thats so my style. Okay, my favorite weekend recap was the pumpkin carving. I love crafts and stuff at home with the kids. Fun! The family Jack-O-Lantern looks great. Thanks for sharing!

October 24, 2011 at 6:47 pmOmg I am glad everything is ok and no one was hurt. Love the fall fashion old navy does not fit me right I love there jeans but the fit is not good for me. Carving pumpkin is a great family activity looks great. I am not a fan of the grocery store I have not had time to go to the farmers market which I love also so Publix and dem have been taking my money and I see no ROI.

October 24, 2011 at 8:27 pmLooks like we’re in same boat with the cookie fail. I attempted to make some cookies from scratch with Moo on Sunday and let’s say we ended up with crust instead of cookies. I’m not discouraged though. I’ll be back it again next week.

In other news, that chicken looks amazing. Those cookies…ummmm….look like they have seen better days. But it’s the taste that counts, right? You get an A for effort!

Inspiration Needed | Lipgloss and Binky
November 6, 2011 at 11:42 pm[…] Well now that I am trying to be more “domesticated” I have decided to try to whip up something special for our snacks and desserts during the weekend. Not having a clue where to start I am currently looking at Pinterest for inspiration. Here is what I’ve come up with. I’ll make sure to get pics of everything. Hopefully they won’t turn out like the cookies found—-> here. […]

November 7, 2011 at 6:42 pmOh man! sorry to hear about the accident (I know I’m late), but glad your son is okay! Sheesh. I don’t have kids, but I know it must be hard to loosen the reigns when your kids start getting older.
Can I have your sweater, please?
*giggles* about the cookies. Lord knows I don’t bake! LOL.

I saw the picture of your cookies and through they looked pretty delicious. I didn’t know they were supposed to look like the picture after them. LOL!
