I know you read the title and thought it is nearly freezing outside why would anyone be thinking about gardening but I’m here to tell you I am starting to plan out my garden for this year. Last year was my first year and I had a great yield. I poorly documented it as life got in the way but we saw tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, strawberries, scallions, green beans, and a baby watermelon amongst a few spices grow right on our deck.
It’s kind of sad how little I get out of the house some weeks other than carpool and the usual errands. I picked up a few clients and am really now a WAHM instead of a moonlighting one so the leisure I once had to come and go as I please has been replaced with more structure, meaning I don’t really get dressed up like I used to.
Yesterday I took a trip to Target and decided that at LEAST once a week I would put on real clothes and attempt to look decent.
Who am I? I’m a whole lot of things, a scribbled scrabbled mess at times, a polished lady at others. This week’s prompt gave me the opportunity to really think about the things that make me me.
make me me…Mimi. Get it?!
Normally when I cook pot roast I either put it in the slow cooker or I bake it. Well seeing that Sunday I got a late start….as in didn’t get out of the bed in enough time to have it properly marinate and slow cook, I needed another option.
Pinterest anyone? I came across a fairly simple recipe for pot roast created by the Neely’s. So sad about their divorce. Luckily I had all of the ingredients on hand. I started cooking at 3 and it was ready at 6 and was extremely tender as if it had been in the oven for hours.
