On the Go with Kozy Shack Pudding + {Giveaway}

Thanks to Kozy Shack for sponsoring today’s discussion. My opinons are mine. You already know!

Now that I am on this fitness quest one of the suggestions that has been made  is I need to eat….regularly.

I’ve been known to go about a day and a half without eating and not be bothered. Well those days are long gone, as I am now eating a few mini meals/snacks throughout the day. This new trend has helped me feel less sluggish, however the downside is around that 3rd hour I get violently hungry. Hungry like I’m pregnant, I get light headed and start looking for the nearest thing near me to eat, throwing caution to the wind on whether said item is good for me or not.

In an effort to make sure I’m not snacking on a bunch of junk I’ve been looking for snacks that I can throw in my bag and eat on the run.

Kozy Shack Pudding

I’ve recently been introduced to Kozy Shack pudding. The pudding comes in a tub as well as small cups. The small cups have been great for snacking on the move while the tub stays at home. I’ve always been a fan of pudding ever since I was a child. My children enjoy pudding as well and as a mother I’m happy to give them Kozy Shack because of the wholesome ingredients….especially seeing that I can pronounce all of them. Nothing says win like letting your children eat something that tastes good and is good for them. Kozy Shack puddings are high in calcium and are gluten free.

Kozy Shack

I am of the cloth that everything from ice cream to pudding tastes a little bit better with Oreo crumbs sprinkled on it. Mash them up real fine over some pudding and you have yourself something. I know the Oreos aren’t the best for me but after a long day there is  nothing like having a sit on my front porch enjoying a fancy cup of pudding with crushed cookies……and a tall glass of Sangria water.

Celebrating Motherhood with Honey Baked Ham

With Mother’s Day just under a week away, while some would like to put their feet up and enjoy a free day of spa lounging to include bottomless mimosas and endless girl talk the truth of the matter is this fantasy won’t happen for the best of us.

Being a Mother has been an incredible calling for me from the day the pregnancy tests were confirmed and I don’t know about you but no one can celebrate a mother like another mother. We know the stresses, the balancing act and the feel of little arms around our neck for the sweetest cuddles.

This Mother’s Day I’ve decided to throw a little get together for some of my favorite mothers. We’re all on this journey together and sometimes it is soothing to sit and talk with mothers who are going through the same issues that I’m going through parenting my children.

Friday night we are going to get together and have a great time with some eats and drinks and sit and share pregnancy, and labor war stories. With it being a Friday evening I am not looking to do ANY cooking and Honey Baked Ham’s heat and eat options offer a great starting point for the menu.

Project 52 – Week 10

Fresh, organic and cheap vegetables are the primary culprits of my new gardening obsession.  I’ll even venture to say that I am truly getting a kick out of seeing the seedlings germinate in such a short amount of time and I am waiting patiently to see the first signs of real, tangible sprouts. What I hadn’t taken into consideration is how educational this seed starting process has been for my children.

Children and Gardening

 Daily they race to the pots to see what sprouted over night or while they were at school. I have to pry the watering can out of little hands lest she drowns my poor tomatoes before they get a good start at life. This week it has dawned on me that there are so many teachable moments if we take the time to see them.

This weekend, the children will get the opportunity to start their own little gardens with the seeds of their choice. The little one says she doesn’t want any carrots in hers because they make her “burmpt,” that would be burp. She ate a carrot ONE time and burped right after and she hasn’t been the same since.

What unexpected moment have you used lately to teach your child(ren) something? Have I convinced you to start a garden yet?!!
