First Day of Fall Fun

The anticipation of our annual trip to the apple orchard makes the days leading up to Fall break extremely exciting for my children. The memories of having the same giddiness as a child amplifies the fun we have on our yearly trip to the North Georgia mountains.

This year we did the major sites of the North Georgia mountains in a matter of hours. We started out a little later than we wanted but that did not hinder us from doing a speedy drive by of the most popular attractions in the area before heading home.

We did the apple orchard.

Make sure to read the sign. I loved it!

We traveled about 20 miles down the road to Amicalola Falls. The elevation was high and the weather was glori0us . We sat and listened to the water fall for awhile. We’ll head back once the leaves start changing hopefully.

We passed these huge pumpkins on our way to the falls and decided to come back and take a closer look after we were done. I’d heard of Burt’s  Farm and how crowded it can be during the Fall season. Glad we happened upon it in it’s calm state. The selection was amazing and totally affordable, we picked up a few before heading home.

Another Fall trip in the books. I am really hoping to plan a trip back there once the weather cools down and bit and it really starts to feel and look like Fall.

What’s on your list of things to do and places to visit for the Fall?

It looks like you guys had a fun day. ☺ Hopefully, this will be the year that we make it to a corn maze. We are also planning on going camping for the first time as a family this fall.

Corn mazes scare me for some reason. I went and felt totally claustrophobic. I did go with a bunch of children and was trying to make sure not to lose anyone. I plan to do it this year with my husband to see if we can make it through! Have fun camping!

We’re going to visit one of our local pumpkin patches/petting zoos and I’m hoping to squeeze in a trip to the mountains here in the Carolinas.

I want to get to Asheville so bad. I’m trying to leave our weekends free so that maybe we can sneak up for at least a night.

We’re plotting our apple picking and pumpkin patch trips. It’s been too hot lately. The kids have gotten so big! Addison looks like a little lady!

We waited too long and now it’s cold up here but we’ll try to get a few more apples in before the real chill sets in. This is why I love blogging, going back through the stories is so sweetz

Sounds like so much fun. My kids have been asking when we’re getting a pumpkin and I was trying to wait until we were back in the house. But before you know it, it’ll be time to carve the pumpkin.

I’ve also been looking into planning a trip to Georgia again. We were supposed to stop by the Falls back in Feb, but Stone mountain wore us out. LOL!

It sucks there’s no apple picking out here in Louisiana!
