Thanksgiving went well. As the weekend rolled around we just laid around and enjoyed each others company. Friday evening we headed out to visit my bestie. They had a cookout as a wrap up for their family that was leaving to head out of town after Thanksgiving. We swung by had some eats and chatted it up.
Saturday, laid around some more, cleaned, nothing exciting. Headed out to have dinner with my good friend Kelli who is also doubling as my PR person for the Divinitee relaunch. I normally wouldn’t do business with friends but Kelli gets it and she gets me. We go way back. Our lives are so similar its eerie. She has been here since the very beginning and since I have decided to go all out this time she understands my passion and urgency. She recently launched her own PR firm..Kelli Flournoy PR..yes, that was a not so shameless plug feel free to make what you wish of that.
I digress. We ate at Via. The food was good and set the mood for boring but necessary things such as business strategy and photo shoot visions. I am so excited!
Sunday, I headed out to Dollar Tree and Michaels to scrape up some material to finish off some Christmas decorations. I may or may not blog the final results depending on how it turns out. Please…I’m new to crafting and I’m sensitive about my ish.
I’m hooking up with Mom Trends for Monday Mingle. I wore:
Friday:
Blazer: Thrifted Blouse: Liz Claiborne Belt: Target Jeans: Gap Earrings: Macy’s Boots: Sole Society
Saturday:
Blouse: Thrifted Belt: Thrifted Jeans: Papaya (teeny bopper store) Shoes: Steve Madden Ring: Macy’s
How was your weekend. Did you get any shopping done. Are you tired of leftovers yet?

November 29, 2011 at 12:16 amYes the weekend was a quiet one for me also.Nothing special happened over here. Can’t wait for the relaunch. I hate mixing friends with business but sometimes if you have the right friend and your gut says do it then go for it.

November 29, 2011 at 8:29 amThose little ones are so freakin CUTE!! YAY for progress on Divinitee, I need more shirts 😉 I’m grown enough to admit I’m jealous of all that hair AND your boots! My weekend was fun: cooking, eating, drinking, shopping all with crazy Jamaicans in the background 🙂

November 29, 2011 at 12:34 pmI love those boots–both of them! We didn’t have any left overs since we gave most of the food to the rest of the family (except the collard greens–mom hid that from everyone).

November 29, 2011 at 1:57 pmLove the shoes!!! =)
We (my husband) did most of the shopping online for our son, cyber Monday…..that is pretty much all we have done. I love to shop, but shopping on a tight budget isn’t as fun. I need you to teach me your thrifty skills. 😉

November 29, 2011 at 4:07 pmUmmm, I’m gonna be needing some styling advice from you, lol! You always looks so cute! I was tired of leftovers the day after Thanksgiving, lol! We went at ate at Ruby Tuesday, and I sipped some of Byron’s drink! We did a little unplanned shopping. We went into Best Buy with the intention of just looking, and left with 2 tvs, a portable dvd player for Izzy, and a gps. o_O You KNOW who bought all of that, right? lol!

November 29, 2011 at 8:35 pmWe’re done with our leftovers. I resisted the urge to cook tremendous amounts this year. And Purdue had these great little $10 turkeys at Food Lion that was the perfect size for my family of four. We kept it low key for the weekend and stayed in. My husband worked Thanksgiving day so Black Friday was our Thanksgiving as a family.
I so need your shoe collection. Sadly, I haven’t added to mine in quite some time. Hopefully, Santa will leave some under the tree this year. We’re in the thick of getting ready for Moo’s birthday and ordering Christmas cards now.
Mimi
November 29, 2011 at 11:05 pm$10 turkeys? We paid $40 for ours and if we ate half of it. Next time we are doing cornish hens if its just us.
You know I’m cheap so my shoe collection is the Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls vibe! Dang time for Moo’s birthday already. Time is flying. JJ will be one before we know it.

November 29, 2011 at 11:36 pmCute outfits! We finished our leftovers today. I was getting sick of them and didn’t want to say anything then DH called from work to declare, “END of leftovers tonight!” I was so happy. He was supposed to make pizza dough when he got home but promptly fell asleep at 8p.m. so not sure what’s for dinner tomorrow (it’s my day off!). Uh oh! Anyway, glad you had a good Thanksgiving!
