RoC® Skincare is sponsoring an essay contest called Women with MORE. It celebrates the achievements of driven and talented women. There are four categories that women are being nominated for which are: Ambition, Beauty, Style, and Passion. I am nominating my best friend Erika for the Women with More Passion category; she is an amazing woman and her passion continually inspires me.
Erika, is the mother of five beautiful children, and top of juggling the hectic trials of motherhood she also runs her own interior design business, curates her own interior design blog at Blulabel Bungalow and might I add she is the reason that I blog today. Although raising five children and being a businesswoman is a colossal feat, it doesn’t end there; she is also a fantastic wife and a very dedicated friend.
We’ve been friends since middle school and was briefly separated during our college years and we’ve been inseparable ever since. When my mother died she was 8 months pregnant with her third child but that didn’t stop her from being right there, I remember just wanting her to sit down but she wouldn’t. When I found out the sex of Addison she was the first personal I called in tears, she knew the desires of my heart. I value our friendship so that there are few words that can describe what and who she is to not only me but my family. She’ll scold, pray and laugh with and at you all at the same time! Even though we are much busier these days running our families and don’t see each other and talk as often as we would like, when we do it’s as if not a minute of time has passed.
I chose to nominate her because she is the epitome of the modern day woman and though she doesn’t do this for the praise she definitely deserves some! She is a wonderful role model for young girls and women who strive to have success in their home lives as well as in the workforce. She is proof that you don’t have to settle in life. If you work hard enough you can achieve all of your dreams, and you can do it with class and style.
I am a huge supporter of RoC® Skincare and I’m so happy to see that they are using their voice in order to acknowledge everyday extraordinary women. One product of theirs that I absolutely loveis the RoC® Retinol Correxion® Deep Wrinkle Serum. This serum is formulated to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well improve the firmness and clarity of your skin. You do know I am a little paranoid since turning 36 about making sure I use only the best products on my skin to ward off any wrinkles and such. I’ve fallen in love with this product and I use it at night and in the morning.
It is very hydrating and leaves the skin feeling very fresh. It sinks right into the skin and it leaves a flawless finish which is great for putting makeup on top of. Results from this product can be seen after using it for just one month and they continue to show as you use it.
