Heeey!!!! How was your weekend. Mine was one of the crazy ones that was non stop. It started on Thursday and ran clean through to Sunday evening. Glad to finally feel like I am coming out from under the enormous amount of laundry that piled up while I was away. Like the saying goes you actually need a week to get back in the groove when you are coming off of a trip.
Thursday I kicked off the weekend at #Digitini. I was thrilled to receive an invite from Everywhere. They were hosting an event for Ananda Leeke creator of Digital Sisterhood. She was presented a Digital Key to the city by the Everywhere team. I had a great time chatting with her. She is a wealth of knowledge and a very sweet and genuine person.
I wore: Shirt: Thrifted Jeans: Express (thrifted) Belt: Nine West (thrifted) Necklace: Macy’s Purse: Liz Claiborne (thrifted) Shoes: Sole Society Ilene
Saturday was family day. Not sure if I mentioned this awhile back or not but my husband purchased a rust bucket 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass with dreams of fixing it up. It has been a work in progress and money pit for the past few months. He wanted me to see the progress so I could see where the money was going *shrugs* It still has a long way to go but a lot has been done. I’m happy for him. He doesn’t ask for much and this has been a dream of his. It should be done by his birthday in June. I am thinking about sneaking over to the garage and having something special done to the car for him from me….we’ll see. Shhhhhhh
So while we waited patiently as the Mr. chatted it up with the mechanic…this is what my babies were up to…
Sunday was spent cleaning and preparing for house guests. My MIL and husband’s aunts are in town for my niece’s graduation on Friday. My MIL wanted to spend a week with all of the grandchildren so she came early.
Around 5 I left and headed out to join the Atlanta Style Bloggers for #ASBnightout. We started off the evening at the Artmore Hotel for a few drinks and then headed over to the Alliance Theater for a performance by the Atlanta Ballet. I love ballet. I took it for many years and as with many things wish I would’ve never quit. No worries I’ll live vicariously through Addison.
I digress.

Yes..that cracked screen is my NEW iPhone…I don’t want to talk about it.
The performance was awesome. I think my love for ballet has resurfaced. I can’t wait until the next production.
How was your weekend? What’s good in your hood or ‘burb

May 22, 2012 at 9:19 pmYes, you did have quite the busy weekend. Thank goodness the MIL is in town and can help out with the kiddies. I’ve secretly been wanting to find an old car to fix up and pimp out myself. I think the tomboy in me is resurfacing.
Love the shoes from Sole Society and the shorts!

May 23, 2012 at 9:01 amNice clutch! You always find cute stuff at the thrift store! Lovely outfit for the play! Don’t be upset about the new iPhone! I cracked mine 3 times trying to be cute! Then I got an otterbox.. That was ugly so I got a cute case and learned how to put my phone up when it was not in use!
Mimi
May 23, 2012 at 9:09 amI am thinking about an Otterbox but it’s so big and bulky. Good thing I go the insurance that allows me to replace the phone as many times as necessary. Yes! I always walk with it in my hand. I have to learn to put it up when I’m not using it

May 23, 2012 at 1:00 pmBusy weekend for you. Mine was pretty laid back. Had a small baby shower with friends.
I haven’t been to the ballet in years! I used to really like going. We used to get free tickets at my old job. That was a pretty good perk.

May 23, 2012 at 2:26 pmI WANT THAT BLAZER!
What color are you guys going to paint the Cutlass? That blue color is real pretty.. (not sure if your hubby wants a “pretty” color though.) Maybe I should say, niiice. LOL.
Mimi
May 23, 2012 at 3:20 pmHe is going to paint it a dark gray color and it is going to have a black racing stripe with a black vinyl top. I liked the blue too but I got voted down! I can’t wait to get behind the wheel

May 24, 2012 at 10:02 amOMG I really need to start Thrifting! You look FAB as usual! BTW my hubster is into old cars also. He’s had a 55 & a 59 Chevy pick up truck. Like Fred Sandford. LOL Now he has a 40 something Chevy…always a project. But it I love it.
Mimi
May 24, 2012 at 11:08 amMy husband said the 59 Chevy truck is up next. I’ll refrain from letting him know your husband has one because he’ll be off and running wanting his phone number. This is the first of many I’m sure as this has become a hobby of his. I’ve gotten bitten by the bug, I want an old Mustang now
