Last week was good. Was a slightly laid back week, nothing out of the ordinary worth announcing. Well, I suppose you should know that I got a new lens for my camera so get ready for photo overloads cause I’m extra hype again about photography and getting better so be prepared for lots of pictures until the newness of the new lens wears off.
This weekend my husband and the children took a trip to Tallahassee and left me all alone. This was a good thing, cause I needed some time to regroup.
One of my line sisters was celebrating her birthday over the weekend so a few of us went to the movies to see No Good Deed. I don’t do scary movies…AT ALL. A few minutes in I was legit ready to go. I will say this was more of thriller. I think I can take these better than a Friday the 13th where you have chainsaws and heads rolling. Overall great plot, good movie.
I will be doing a lot of mentoring this year working with young girls so Saturday I attended a kickoff to one of the programs that I will be working with. I really encourage you to get out and help in your communities it really and truly makes a difference.
Outside of that I did a little what I like to call “bumping around” between stores buying things I need but could live without…read took a trip to Target, Marshalls, Michaels and Bath and Body Works.
Let me tell you, daily for the past week or so I had been stalking my inbox for that glorious email from BB&W saying candles were 2 for $22. Finally got the email and rushed down to get one of my favorite fall scents Leaves, and I picked up Flannel. I had a 20% off coupon so I left spending about $18 for both.
Skipped on over to Target where I caught the tail end of the school supply clearance. Picked up notebooks for $.09, folders for $.01 and glue for $.053
The side of my refrigerator had gotten ridiculous with box tops, wedding announcements etc. When I saw this gold locker basket for $1 I had the idea to use it on the refrigerator and I love it!
With my new chalkboard obsession I had been resisting the price tag on chalk markers. Found these on the dollar spot and purchased them all. Got home tried them out and they don’t erase completely so would be good for labels.
I purchased a few other things from Michaels and Marshalls for the front porch. I’ll share later in the week.
How was your week{end}? Did you catch the Target clearance sale?

September 15, 2014 at 12:20 pmMy weekend was a combo of recovering from being out of town all week, a fight party and then recovering all day Sunday. I did nothing remotely productive. Hopefully I can regroup next weekend!

September 15, 2014 at 1:23 pmI just started working with a community service hall for young boys this weekend too! It’s something that has always stuck out to me I’m just happy to get my feet wet…good luck! I caught some of Chunks “non-essential” items from his school list on the Target sale, so happy I waited.

September 16, 2014 at 4:00 amI grabbed some of the chalk markers from Target. Haven’t tried them out yet, but thanks for the heads up that they don’t erase completely. I need to make another trip and see if they put out the BTS clearance yet because last week they were busy setting up for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Yay for getting into mentoring. I think it’s important for our kids to have someone they can look up to besides these often time not so role model material celebrities.

September 17, 2014 at 6:47 amI went to Target last week Thursday and it looked as if they were putting away all of the school supply items (insert big eyes) I was in a rush so I didn’t run further to see what was going on. Maybe they were just moving it to a different side or all together (shrug shoulders). I’m going to check out those chalk board markers today. Hopefully, they still have some available at my store. Also, looking forward to see your pictures (all of your pictures are so petty) Love the basket too 🙂
PS: Thanks for mentoring!!! We need more people like you!!!

September 20, 2014 at 10:31 amDid you find the markers? I am going to swing by there this weekend to see if they put more out. I figure those are the things you just buy all of when you see them.
