Weekend Wrap Up

What’s good?!!

Nothing too spectacular and life changing over here but the usual. Cleaning, cooking, laundry, breaking up fights, etc. etc.

This weekend was rather chill and laid back. I say chill literally. The weather here has been unseasonably cool. I don’t think we’ll be getting out of the mid 80’s this week. For August that is unheard of. I think I smell fall coming early or is that the pumpkin spice candle that I pulled out. Don’t judge, I looooooooove the fall. LOVE.

Anywho.

Back to the weekend. I kicked off the weekend a little early on Thursday when I attended a passion party. If you don’t know what that is I’ll let you use your imagination. I’ll leave that there.

Friday evening I went out to the park to kick it with one of my football mom homies…NO I’m not salty my son isn’t playing. Addison just needed to get out and stretch her legs and run. After we came home my bestie stopped by and the Mr. was so kind as to go grab us a bottle of this:

and we tipsy giggled and watched VH1 Soul while I painted my nails. Tipsy giggles are everything if you didn’t know. Like uncontrollable laughter at the dumbest things..Yes!!

Saturday we lounged around and in the afternoon we headed out to the builder to select our cabinet, tile, laminate, carpet and granite colors..*Roger Rabbits*  I’ll give an update later in the week along with photos on that progress.

Sunday, I headed out to Figo Pasta to have lunch with my Godson for his 11th birthday. After that I came home and watched the Rihanna interview

I’m not a huge Rih Rih fan. I think it may be more accurate to say I am indifferent on her but I will belt out one of her tunes all off key, which is neither here nor there. I thought the interview was well done and I think I may be liking her a tad bit more than I did. Was it me or did you want to see her mother have some other reaction to receiving the house rather than that tired Ohhhh My Gosh she kept repeating.  It’s just me?

How was your weekend?

Weekend Wrap Up

Hey!!!

How was your weekend. The heat here was sweltering. From the sounds of it the weather has been hellacious all over so I don’t think there is a person reading this who isn’t counting down to fall. I know I am.

.

&*%$#@!@$ its hot

We are seriously in the process of looking for a new home and have been getting serious about finding which side of town we want to be on and we found something that we both agree on. At this point the home would need to be built but I’m not really in the mood to do a whole lot of looking. So for now this is the floorplan we chose. We will be looking at a few other homes in the coming weeks but if we don’t find anything this will be it. I hope we don’t find anything else!!

House

After leaving the subdivision I headed over to the mall to have lunch with my Cali  blog sister Krissy. She was in town for her family reunion and I got to see her IRL!! For some reason we forgot to snap a pic of the both of us together but we managed to get one of our girls! It was just like we were old friends…I mean we do read each others business on the daily.

.

Left Krissy and headed over to visit a good friend of mine who just had the sweetest little baby. I think I want another baby…sometimes.

Saturday I headed out to the Jill Scott and Kem concert with my bestie and her husband. Yes, I was the third wheel since the Mr. didn’t want to go and at $150/ticket I wasn’t complaining. OMG!! Can you say hot and crowded. I had the nerve to be sipping on some Sangria, but I was flushing it down with water. I wanted no parts of any passing out. Jill was AMAZING as always. If you haven’t seen her in concert put it on your bucket list.

Weekend WrapUp

Hey!

How was your weekend?

We didn’t get into much of anything. Kind of cooled out.

We skipped out on Friday and went down to the Tanger Outlet in Locust Grove in search of a Father’s Day gift. We settled on cologne and a shirt from the Gap as his gift from the kids and I got him a new wedding band.

Saturday we went to a cook out and the kids got in the pool . Sunday we headed out for father’s day brunch and went to look at some new  homes…told you. Nothing fabulous and spectacular but great times with the family and friends nonetheless.

I didn’t feel like dragging my camera around so here are some photos I took via my phone with the cracked screen and Instagram from this weekend.

Weekend Wrap Up

Heeey!!!! How was your weekend. Mine was one of the crazy ones that was non stop. It started on Thursday and ran clean through to Sunday evening. Glad to finally feel like I am coming out from under the enormous amount of laundry that piled up while I was away. Like the saying goes you actually need a week to get back in the groove when you are coming off of a trip.

Thursday I kicked off the weekend at #Digitini. I was thrilled to receive an invite from Everywhere. They were hosting an event for Ananda Leeke creator of Digital Sisterhood. She was presented a Digital Key to the city by the Everywhere team. I had a great time chatting with her. She is a wealth of knowledge and a very sweet and genuine person.

Saturday was family day. Not sure if I mentioned this awhile back or not but my husband purchased a rust bucket 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass with dreams of fixing it up. It has been a work in progress and money pit for the past few months. He wanted me to see the progress so I could see where the money was going *shrugs* It still has a long way to go but a lot has been done. I’m happy for him. He doesn’t ask for much and this has been a dream of his. It should be done by his birthday in June. I am thinking about sneaking over to the garage and having something special done to the car for him from me….we’ll see. Shhhhhhh

So while we waited patiently as the Mr. chatted it up with the mechanic…this is what my babies were up to…

Sunday was spent cleaning and preparing for house guests. My MIL and husband’s aunts are in town for my niece’s graduation on Friday. My MIL wanted to spend a week with all of the grandchildren so she came early.

Around 5 I left and headed out to join the Atlanta Style Bloggers for #ASBnightout. We started off the evening at the Artmore Hotel for a few drinks and then headed over to the Alliance Theater for  a performance by the Atlanta Ballet. I love ballet. I took it for many years and as with many things wish I would’ve never quit. No worries I’ll live vicariously through Addison.

I digress.
