Miss Jessie’s, Milani, and Goody’s SWAG

On Friday night, after running around with the children all day I seriously thought twice about attending the Pre Nye bash. I just wanted to climb in bed and go to sleep. Okay I lie, get in bed b/c sleep Is something I don’t do. I digress.

My neighbor had just cut my hair and I still needed to wash and style it, then I thought about the swag. Did my hair in record time and headed out. Boy am I glad I did. The SWAG was on a hundred, thousand, trillion. Seee…

I added up the Miss Jessies products and alone they had a value of $115. If I wasn’t interested in trying them they would be up on Ebay. I again.. digress.

I have tried a lot of Miss Jessie’s products but I’m sure they will work better this time because they were free. Because I’m cheap I have been avoiding the Curly Pudding like the plague but truthfully it is the only thing that can really keep Lil Mama’s ponytails looking good. The Cantu is a strong contender but minus the buildup it sometimes leaves the Curly Pudding is good for her hair. I am interested in seeing how this new layer cut is going to look in a twist out. Stay tuned as I try these products.

Now..AWL of this makeup, lipgloss and lipstick did it for me.

Milani did a great job of providing products in shades that are complimentary to a variety of skin tones. These were all of the lipstick colors provided. They all look great on my skin tone surprisingly.

I briefly tried them all and had nothing bad to say other than the lipsticks are thin and need to be reapplied often, I may need to use with a lipliner but time will tell. I’ve seen these products in the store, but since I’m not a makeup person other than mascara and gloss I didn’t give them a second glance. These brands are available in the drugstore..great for us fab mamas and childless divas on a budget. As I wear them I will let you know the real deal.

Lastly, we got these cute headbands/necklaces from Goody’s. How genius. I thought around my neck I would feel like it was choking me but it didn’t. Wear one at a time or both together. I couldn’t manage a good pic so here is the stock photo of the product.

They also have some that are headbands/ bracelets. I love this concept. I like Goody’s products. I have a twist pin and it holds my bun like a champ. I definitely recommend these. I wouldn’t get it wet though…for obvious reasons.

*Does the Swag and Surf* I’m swaggin, I’m twistin’, My Lipgloss poppin’ . No idea what song I’m talking about? Oh…better get up on that hippity hop. I’m lame?

Have you tried any of these products? Are you a Miss Jessie’s fan?

*If you’ve read this post its obvious I received these items in a swag bag..duh. Yet you already know the opinions are my own*

I used the shampoo on the babies hair Saturday and it lathered good. I had never heard of Miss Jessie until Friday night. I am going to try it on the babies hair since her hair is natural. Omm the makeup and stuff well the lipgloss seemed to be nice I don’t know nothing about the rest of that stuff in there but I guess I will be practicing from some youtube vidoes since I have the stuff.

I used on baby’s hair to and it smells really good. I have used it in the past, well the Curly Pudding and it leaves a buildup. I may try to mix with a bit of olive oil to see if it helps. I think overall the way it moisturizes her hair is good. Let me know what you think after you use it for a few days.

I bought the curly pudding a long time ago…I love how it styles, but I could do without the residue so I switched to Shea Moisture stuff. However, for that lovely price of “free.99” I would deal with the residue LOL

Exactly. I thought I was the only one who noticed the flakiness of it. I’m trying again and mixing with a little oil to see if it helps, because I do like and I love the smell.

I always heard about the curly pudding, might see how it goes in my daughter’s hair. s for the make up I’ve seen that brand in the drugstore, and they rely do have. Ice colors that are perfect for our skin tone.

That’s the thing, never finding the right shade for our skin tones is part of the reason why I don’t buy out of the store. I am starting to learn that the colors that I would normally shy away from actually look good on me…like pinks.

I haven’t tried Milani products. I really need to get rid of all my old makeup and start again. I’m not really sure which product is right for me. I am not one to buy really expensive make up. I really don’t see the point. I’m going to give it a try and see how I like it. Thanks for the post.

Me too. I found a foundation on sale at CVS and I have been using that sparingly. I think its time for me to revamp the basics as well. I don’t wear makeup alot but a good foundation, mascara and makeup brushes are good to have on hand.I think I am liking this brand so far and will pick up a few items to see. I don’t wear it enough to spend the big bucks!

Never tried Miss Jessie’s or Milani. I’m a huge Goody’s fan though. I will certainly have to look into Miss Jessie’s since Moo and I are natural.

ALL that was in your swag bag? Wow let me know when the next one is! LOL Ms.Jessie’s is very expensive so I stick with Shea Moisture for the most part. If I got it free like you did, I’d be ALL over it!!

Umm, yeah…that Miss Jessie’s price tag causes the frugalista in me to slightly faint every time I walk past it in Tarjay!!! My friend just passed on a jar of the Baby Buttercream to me and I’ve used it twice. I’m kinda so-so on it. It smells better in my hair than in the jar. Glad to see how well you cleaned up!
