How fitting a prompt for this week as Atlanta saw the longest stretch of Spring that we’ve seen in nearly a year. Although rainy, the clouds couldn’t put a damper on warmer temperatures that have really set off my gardening “green” thumb.
I set off to Home Depot a few days ago to pick up dirt and compost for my garden containers. Needless to say the flower set off my sinuses and I ended up in the bed at 6p with the worst sinus headache ever. I digress
Remember that peek of Spring from last week that summoned me to plant seeds? Within just one week I have progress. The awe from seeing seeds grow is amazing to me. In just one week the green is symbolizing growth and I’m here for it.
These green stems are cucumbers and green beans. I set them outside yesterday to get some natural light and we got a light sprinkling of rain and although I’m not the best at macro, I leave that to Lashawn I got close with my macro lens to get a shot of the raindrops. I’m proud of my little seedling so far. I’ll be planting more this weekend.
Thank you again for continuing to come and link up with us. I’m enjoying your interpretations and while I am behind please know that I will be around to visit all of you this weekend.
Now, be sure to go visit Lashawn. See you next week for “Rule of Thirds.” I mentioned the concept in my week 3 tip if you need a refresher! See you next week.

March 12, 2015 at 9:14 amI have no idea what I’m going to use this week for a picture. The sun is so hot here that we don’t really even have grass in our yard. It’s like the grass only survives in patches, LOL! I’ll have to keep an eye out for something green while we’re out today.

March 12, 2015 at 9:55 amWow, that was really fast. We’ve had a burst of Spring and I am here for it. I don’t mind the rain as long as the temps are in the 60’s – 70’s. I don’t have a green thumb but my 10 year old son does. Ha! He grew a sunflower in his room that was taking OVER!
I can’t wait to see how these progress. #ourproject52

March 12, 2015 at 1:35 pmI am so far behind on my garden. Will be getting supplies this weekend. Ugh. I need my fresh “free” produce. Excellent shots as usual.

March 13, 2015 at 9:00 pmI hate that I may have to miss gardening this year because of my neighbor’s terrible kid. I’m still trying to figure out how I can have a garden thrive indoors or in an area that I know he wouldn’t tamper with.

March 14, 2015 at 1:50 amNext week, I’m looking forward to cleaning out my garden box and planting some seeds. It’s been really rainy here this week so I’m hoping that the weather is nicer next week. It looks like your seeds are off to a great start.
