#OOTD | Tight Knit

Sorority life is not for everyone and I totally get that but for those that know the love and respect for a line brother or sister it is hard to explain the connection that you feel. The bond of sisterhood for me is one that has earned people  their due place in my life and heart just as a member of my family or life long friends have. The bond, the knit if you will of some of these relationships is unbreakable.

I don’t get out that much during the week, but my line sister was celebrating a birthday this week and it was only right that we got out to catch up on life and such. Getting out means I put on real clothes and hopefully this will be the beginning of Fashion Fridays.

We grabbed a super casual lunch because she was on lunch break so I kept it simple.

I’ve been shopping a lot for fall and just loving on knits. I’ve purchased lots of knit sweaters…tight knits, and chunky knits have been at the top of my list.

How is your fall wardrobe shaping up? Oh…and can somebody comment about how neatly mowed and green the grass is, my husband/photographer just kept talking about how nobody would pay attention to my outfit but would be looking at his lawn….as if.

Step into Fall Style with Clarks Cloud Steppers

I was provided product and compensation by Clarks for this post. All opinions are mine

The lazy hazy days of Summer were more than likely not eagerly anticipated by children only, but longed for by busy mothers that needed a few weeks to relax and unwind without the worries of hurried schedules that are required to balance carpool duties, extracurricular activities and personal obligations.

Summer not only relaxes the mind but encourages laid back clothing decisions that speak to comfort, fun and ease. The comfort and ease of sandals are most welcomed during the warmer months and as colder weather approaches it is hard not to feel disdain at the thought of pulling out boots and other restrictive footwear that while keeping feet warm aren’t the most comfortable.

Clarks Cloud Steppers are a great way to bring the comfort of Summer right into Fall and Winter. As my children are now back in school, I have started creating our fall schedule full of trips to the apple orchard, pumpkin patch and walking trails for leaf watching. For these outings I need shoes that are comfortable and fit for walking and exploring. Cloud Steppers are the perfect option. Their lightweight feel coupled with their stylish features make them perfect for busy moms on the go that are not ready to trade in comfort for style.

The variety of colors and textures make them extremely versatile and able to be dressed up or down, qualities especially important to not only fashion conscious but budget mindful moms who are in search of fashion that plays dual roles.

While I am sad to say goodbye to Summer in a few weeks, I’m excited to bring in the fun of Fall with comfort and style with my Clarks Cloud Steppers!

Comfortable Fashion with FBF by Checka

I was provided compensation for this post. All opinions are mine

As much as I would love to get dolled up everyday complete with hair and makeup that type of daily regalia doesn’t fit my lifestyle right now. I need comfortable fashion that can easily transition from a meeting to picking children up from school to making a quick stop at the store.

I think a lot of Moms think to be well put together they have to have their hair curled with  heels on and that is not so. Casually dressing in no way has to be considered frumpy. Finding pieces that are comfortable and stylish is the key to making sure you are well put together even for the simplest of daily mundane tasks.

I was sent a few samples of clothing from FBF by Checka to review and immediately I knew these pieces would fit my lifestyle by having the capability to be dressed up or down based on the design and texture of the fabric. I don’t own a ton of clothing, and as I purge my wardrobe and start again before deciding to purchase an article of clothing I look at whether it can serve a dual purpose.

I was impressed with this Mori Hoodie because it reminded me of  a stylish sweatshirt. Thrown on with some leggings and sandals I was able to run my errands in style.

I was also sent her Fantasy Halter. Perfect for a date night or just running around these hot months it is super soft and comfortable.

This piece again can be paired with leggings and sandals or dark denim and heels for a night out on the town.

FBF by Checka is the brainchild of designer Francesca Skwark. She wants this fashion line to be seen as one that can be worn from day to night and appeals to the eye as luxurious yet affordable.

Francesca is looking to bring her fashion to the masses with a fun Kickstarter campaign. {Outfit of the Day} Showing a Lil’ Leg with Jean Shorts

My husband’s birthday was yesterday and we spent it doing what the children wanted to do. They truly believed he wanted to bowl on his birthday.

I kept it what I like to call “chic casual”.  My tummy and love handles need a bit of… we’ll say attention, so I don’t care to just throw them out there with a fitted tee without a little camouflaging.
