Children Lil Man Weekend

Fun Friday

I did it. I survived the summer. It’s over.

This has been one loooong summer. At times it feels like it slow poked and at others it flew by. But I’m going to say the general consensus is with no less than four children in my care at least a week at a time with breaks here and there when they switched and went to my inlaws, this was the summer that I thought would never end.

Last night my stepdaughter went home and I went to Lil Man’s Kindergarten orientation..it’s official! Monday, school bells ringing.

Soo, I’ve decided not to let Lil Man ride the school bus. After I spoke with his teacher, who I loooove by the way she confirmed my thoughts that the bus is super rowdy and if I am able to drop and pick up to do that. I’ve also decided on packing lunch..saw the menu..say no more.

Now things can go back to normal. I can start blogging, taking photos and grocery shopping once a week instead of everyday trying to feed these kids. I feel like August 1 is a new beginning and I am treating it as such. Time to get back to work on my endeavors..I’m planning a mom’s night out event here in Atlanta…deets coming soon!

The fall for me is action packed. Time for shuffling Lil Man to piano, football practice and the newly added Tae Kwon Do two days a week along with my marathon training and I am going to be busy. We will be doing quite a bit of traveling. I am looking forward to fall my favorite time of the year. The living room is going to get a makeover and I want to do a few decorative things around the house via thrifting and DIY projects..Lawd. It will all be blogged. Promise.

Welp, tomorrow its going down. I’m doing a flash mob. Yasssss….Meeeeee.  Just one of those things to say you’ve done. Cross y’alls fingers that the Mr. comes out and tapes it so I can post here for your viewing and laughing pleasure.

Have a great weekend…What’s on your agenda?

Schools back in already. Here in SC school starts on the 15th. I think my daughter is more excited than I am. I understand you not wanting to let your son ride the bus. I was apprehensive too. Luckily she only spent 10 minutes on the bus in the morning and it was only 3 kids on the bus in the afternoon all from her class, so I was ok with it. Packing lunches are great too. Don’t forget the notes! Oh and I hope your husband comes to the flash mob. That’s a must see!

Yay for school. Son starts Thursday but I have so much to do next week that my car will crank each and every day. I saved money on gas this summer so I loved it. School lunch no I will also be packing his lunch. I hope your son has a great first day (please don’t cry I need someone to hold on to the tears). The atlanta moms meetup is a great idea let me know if you need anything or help. Back to the nitty gritty as my mom use to say. Oh can’t wait to see the flash mom video.

I’m officially jealous. Makes me want to drive down there just for the meet up. LOL.

Looking forward to seeing what you have planned. I can wait until my daughter gets in school. That means less money for daycare and early nights for her.

Looks like you guys are going to be busy. Good luck with the upcoming school year. 🙂

You’re getting rid of house guests and mine just got here. On my agenda is to survive these next two weeks until my house too is back to normal. Then it’ll be time to look at private schools for Moo. Can’t believe she’s almost 3!!

Wow… summer doesn’t end here until the end of August. I can’t even imagine school beginning in August. LOL. Sounds like you have a full and fulfilling Fall ahead of you. Can’t wait to read all about it.

You and I think alike regarding the school bus and making lunches. My son is only in preschool and I have been making his lunches. At first I didn’t like it, but I do like being able to decide what he eats and he does have some input.
Wish, I was in Atl for the mom’s night out….sounds like fun.
Enjoy your weekend! I have no clue what my plans are for today……which can be a good thing, because that means the schedule is clear!! 🙂
