Hey!
How was your weekend?
The weather here minus the pollen was just beautiful. We were in the lower to mid 80’s the entire weekend. At times it was just down right hot.
This weekend was spent hanging with the family. Friday evening my little cousin who plays on a traveling baseball team was playing a tournament at a field not far from our house so we packed up the children and headed out to the game. It was a family affair, my brother and sister inlaw along with my nieces and nephew joined in the fun as well.
Saturday morning I got up early and headed down to Tifton, GA which is about 3 hours away to pick up my stepdaughter. The Mr. usually takes the trip but he was under the weather so I took one for the team and drove with a friend of mine and turned around and came right back. Tired.com when I got back but my son had a birthday party so I used the restroom and headed right back out the door.
Saturday evening between the drive and the pollen I had the most awful headache. AWFUL. Mr. took over and I went to sleep around 7.
Sunday, we headed back out to the baseball field to support my cousin and I ate the most delicious funnel cake #youcare and took some pictures. They even had fried Snicker bars and Oreos. I’ve never had one and couldn’t bring myself to buy any. Have you had any of the above. Are they good?
This weekend gave me a good idea of what our summer will be like. Busy and laid back…and yes that is possible.
What did you get into this weekend? How was the weather in your neck of the woods?

March 19, 2012 at 1:24 pmAs crazy and so not good for you as it is, the friend Snickers is ignorant! It’s melty and gooey and yummy. I shared one with my hubs (thank God) because I would have go IN by myself. I say get it and share it. I’m ready for fair season for some more crazy deep fried concoctions.

March 19, 2012 at 10:32 pmThat’s just what I imagined it to be. Crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. I think I am going to have to give it a try next time.

March 19, 2012 at 1:47 pmI loooove funel cake. Haven’t had it in years.
The pollen was off the chain this weekend. Poor Pookah. he was so congested and his eyes are swollen and itchy. Claritin is now a necessity for him just to function! But we STILL went outside, which I know made it worse, but it was beautiful! And I had date night. It was great.

March 19, 2012 at 2:53 pmour weather here in Louisiana was pretty much the same as yours– nice weather but full of sneezing and itchy eyes. Friday The Clan headed out for my youngest son’s basketball championship ( which they won!)– Saturday we headed back to the gym for my middle son’ basketball game ( they won) and headed to the finals that afternoon at 2( so two games!) — Sunday was church and then my OLDEST son’s baseball practice— so a weekend full of sports and itching 🙂 Gotta love it right?
SN: I love your pictures— I have a really nice camera and still can’t take good pics

March 19, 2012 at 10:34 pmThat is the things with children and sports it takes up your entire weekends. After football and basketball I needed a break so he is not playing a sport this season. I kind of wish I would’ve put him in soccer but I think I will find him tennis or golf lessons.
You better put that camera to good use. There are tons of instructionals online to get you started. The Pioneer Woman has a great series.
