Hey!!!
How was your weekend. The heat here was sweltering. From the sounds of it the weather has been hellacious all over so I don’t think there is a person reading this who isn’t counting down to fall. I know I am.
We are seriously in the process of looking for a new home and have been getting serious about finding which side of town we want to be on and we found something that we both agree on. At this point the home would need to be built but I’m not really in the mood to do a whole lot of looking. So for now this is the floorplan we chose. We will be looking at a few other homes in the coming weeks but if we don’t find anything this will be it. I hope we don’t find anything else!!
After leaving the subdivision I headed over to the mall to have lunch with my Cali blog sister Krissy. She was in town for her family reunion and I got to see her IRL!! For some reason we forgot to snap a pic of the both of us together but we managed to get one of our girls! It was just like we were old friends…I mean we do read each others business on the daily.
Left Krissy and headed over to visit a good friend of mine who just had the sweetest little baby. I think I want another baby…sometimes.
Saturday I headed out to the Jill Scott and Kem concert with my bestie and her husband. Yes, I was the third wheel since the Mr. didn’t want to go and at $150/ticket I wasn’t complaining. OMG!! Can you say hot and crowded. I had the nerve to be sipping on some Sangria, but I was flushing it down with water. I wanted no parts of any passing out. Jill was AMAZING as always. If you haven’t seen her in concert put it on your bucket list.
On the 7th day? SHE RESTED..and cooked dinner
How was your weekend?

July 2, 2012 at 4:58 pmWe got new neighbors this weekend. I’ll be blogging about that soon. Sunday we went to church and came home. It was too hot to do anything else. I did get work done on my new book. Hoping to have hit finished and ready to be published by the end of the month.

July 3, 2012 at 12:58 pmThat home looks incredible – I hope it all works out! And oh my how cute are the girls! I know Nia would be in heaven with the two of them. And about Jill Scott, yes I can attest to her greatness in person. $150 though?! WOW! I get Kem was there too but that’s Broadway show prices! DH and I went on a double date to see her for free at a park in Brooklyn a couple years ago and she was amazing – she was going on and on and unfortunately, we had to leave cause it was over nearly 2 hours by train to get home. Have a wonderful 4th!

the little ladies are so cute. it’s hard to make others understand just how amazing it feels when you meet one of your blogging buddies in real life. and you’re exactly right – you already know each other’s business!
