Children Family Health Summer

Structured Summertime Fun for Children

I despise structure, however at the same time I crave it. I know weird, I guess I liken it to the need to be able to do whatever I want but have some structure while I’m doing whatever I want.

I mentioned earlier in the week house hunting basically consumed my time for the past few weeks and while I was staring with glazed eyes at what seemed like every house on the market in the Atlanta area, I kind of let my children do their own thing. Well letting them “do their own thing” resulted in their sleeping and eating schedules to be completely thrown off.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Strong 4 Life campaign stresses the importance of making sure our children have some sort of structure during the summer to ward off restlessness and irritability. Yes, please. Tell me more, because the little people attitudes around here are at an all time high.

Children Lil Mama Mama's Babies

Breastfeeding Withdrawals?

I was a first generation breastfeeding Mama. I was determined to go against what was considered normal in my family and circles and breastfeed my babies. I did eight months with my first and a little over a year and half with my second. Weaning was not an issue, although I would’ve rather that been an issue versus what I am facing now with an extremely stubborn 3 year old.

At night she will beg to climb in my lap whilst whining ” I want to nurse” which basically means she wants to lay her head on my boob and suck her tongue until she goes to sleep. She is constantly rubbing my breast and any other woman’s breast that picks her up, and I won’t even go into her bra fetish. When she gets really sleepy she will bust in my room hollering, ” I need the bra.” I thought she would’ve grown out of it by now but it seems to be getting worse.

Life Summer Wordless Wednesday

{kinda} Wordless Wednesday

With all of the house hunting that was going Candace was not at the forefront of my mind. I haven’t picked up my camera for creative use in about 3 weeks. Now that things on that front are settled hopefully next week I’ll have some of those photos for you.

We haven’t been doing much these past few weeks as a result of the above mentioned situation. However, now that I don’t have to spend my days on the computer looking for houses scared that the perfect one will somehow fall through the cracks I now have time to get out and about with the kiddies. We did manage to get out and stay close to home the past two weeks. Here is our fun in Instagram photos.

Old School Blogging…ABCs of Mimi

So I don’t need to tell you it’s been crazy around here to say the least. I’ve been tagged a few times in this challenge and I can’t remember exactly who tagged me so I won’t name them in the event I leave someone out. Charge it to my heart and not my crazy summer brain.

A. Attached or Single – Attached. Oh so attached to the most amazing corporate thug ever.
