Beauty Nail Polish

Just Another MANICure Monday

I’ll start off by saying my manicure this week sucks. I just wanted some polish on my nails. Grabbed a few bottles that were on the top and went to work. I really wanted to go back and try the Sally Hansen polishes that I blogged about here without having to do some sort of design.

I used the Fuzzy Coat in All Yarned Up, and the Xtreme Wear polishes in Green with Envy and Pacific Blue.

I looooove Pacific Blue. I’m not particularly crazy about the Fuzzy Coat. You have to put on way too many coats to get the desired effect which means you have to sit still forever to make sure it dries. I’ll pass on that.

So here is my thrown together, bootleg Mani.

Me Random Summer

Oh Hai There

What up tho?!!

Nothing much shangalanging in the A for us but house hunting. Like obsessed with it. This process is so exhausting but I know the perfect house is out there…I hope. Check out the house hunting vlog if you need the most recent developments on our house situation. *longest sigh ev.er*

The kids haven’t managed to kill me yet but we are just two weeks into summer vacay. However RIP to the grocery bill. I mean, these folks just eat all day but I got something for them next week.

My stepdaughter goes to camp, cause a moody preteen around the house all day is no fun, but neither is shelling out $400 a month when I’m home all day…..I digress.

Moving on.

We found our way to the Children’s Museum on Tuesday and the little ones had a ball. Wore me out. They have an awesome exhibit running from now to September. If you are in the Atlanta area I recommend you take your children.

Thank you all for hanging in there with these sponsored posts. Y’all do know whenever we find a house it will need paint, curtains, mortgage payments… I appreciate y’all. I really do.

We have been on strict spending privileges…read if it isn’t a necessity it’s not being bought and quietly it hasn’t been so bad. Saving is a hard habit to get into but when you start seeing that bank account on swole the game changes.

Other than that I’ve been laying as low as I can chilling. What’s up with you? What’s good in your hood?

Oh, I did post this from my iPhone. Any errors, charge it to the game.

Macy’s Sizzle Showdown

I am a member of Everywhere Society. I was compensated for this post. All opinions are mine….you already know.

On Saturday Macy’s Culinary Council Sizzle Showdown went down at Macy’s Lenox Square Mall location. The contest brought together top grillers from across the nation to compete for $10K and the title of Macy’s Great American Grilling Guru.

The dishes were unique and many paid homage to the region from which the contestant was from.

Of course we were able to taste test many of the dishes, and while I can’t remember the names of all of them they were indeed tasty. We were supplied the recipes and please don’t be surprised when you see me post one here on the blog.

The judges were Cat Cora, Marc Forgione, and Stephanie Izard. They had their work cut out for them because the food was delicious. Leah Lyons was the winner and her Surf and Turf was the one dish that I didn’t get a taste of.  Congratulations to her, what a lucky lady!

Summer and grilling are truly great American past times. I can do a little something, something on the grill but nothing like these contestants or my husband. Be sure to be on the look out for Macy’s Culinary Council events in your area. You are sure to have a great time and get pointers on how to make great food.

Of course I got to kick it with some of my favorite Atlanta bloggers in the process.

The Samsung Smart Camera For Those On the Go #Shop #SocialCamera

CB-sponsored-post-white-600

From time to time I get questions from some of you regarding cameras and whether DSLR’s are worth the money and what would be a good camera for someone with a modest budget. In the past I really only knew about DSLRs from experience but I am glad to bring you all some intel on Samsung’s WB200F Compact System Camera.

I picked up the camera from my neighborhood Walmart. There were only two left and at $179 I can see why. Online the camera was listed at $199 but in MY store it was showing a regular price of $179.  I was able to pay for the camera and SD card in the photo center alleviating the need to wait in line at the front of the store.Samsung WB200 Wireless Camera

I don’t even know where to start talking about the awesomeness of this camera. There are many features that stick out but I’ll share with you the ones that make it a great buy for the social media savvy mom on the go, to the person that wants to share photos instantaneously with family and friends. My love for cameras started when I bought a home security camera, I absolutely loved the home security camera design! This lead to me buying more cameras!

We’ll start with the size. This camera weighs little to nothing. Perfect size to toss in your purse and have on hand to capture those timeless moments. I will say with this camera size means nothing. Photo quality was similar to my DSLR. I took these photos with similar settings and the difference is minimal.

Compact System Camera

There is a full manual mode on the camera that allows you to adjust the settings much like a DSLR for better low light photography, along with the ability to have greater creative control over your images.

Now let’s talk about the most awesome feature of this camera….WiFi

This camera has full WiFi capabilities. You can email a photo directly from the camera, as well as share and upload to Social Media sites to include YouTube. OMG!! Grandma can get the photo as soon as you take it. No need to be reminded to send requested photos…or is that just me?

In addition, the camera can be linked to your Smart Phone and with the installation of the free app you can see your photos taken with the camera instantly appear on your phone. Ah. Mazing. As if that wasn’t enough the camera also offers HD recording for those moments that need to be caught in action. The clarity on the video is equally jaw dropping.

There is no way I could fully describe all of the awesome things this camera does in one post. I have detailed for you the most important ones that would make this camera a good purchase for busy moms or individuals on the go who need a good, cost effective every day camera. At $199 this camera is a no brainer, with it’s rechargeable battery, wrist strap, WiFi, and  touch screen this is the step up Compact System Camera some of you have been looking for! My shopping trip is documented in photos over on Google +. Have a look!

Be sure to check out Samsung on Facebook and Twitter for more information on old and new products.
