What’s Really Going On

Weekend Wrap Up is being replaced this week because the majority of my weekend was spent nursing a very sick baby, entertaining my dad and getting this house ready for pictures.

Friday the baby had a very high fever so we rushed her to the emergency room at 2a, got no diagnosis and ended up having to take her to Urgent Care Sunday morning where she was diagnosed with Strep. So I functioned this weekend off of about 4 hours of sleep, some Ginger Ale and a prayer.

Other than that I feel like I haven’t been around these parts much. To be honest last week I seriously contemplated shutting this little blog down. Not because I don’t love you all, because I do but rather because I thought I was at a loss of words and things to talk about. After my bloggy BFF Trina talked me down off the cliff out of my slump I have decided to continue to blog here.

I think I was starting to pressure myself to be THAT blog. While I know I have the capabilities to make it happen I have decided that I don’t want blogging to become a chore. I want it to remain something that I enjoy without being work. With that being said moving forward there will likely be a lot of silence in these parts in the coming months. Then there will likely be times of excessive chatter, it will all depend on my mood and where I am.

Right now I’m in a space where I don’t have much to say, I’m filtering through some things personally and I just haven’t felt like it. I hope y’all will still love me for it and hopefully I can continue growing this blog without being guilted into it.

I know I haven’t been commenting much on your blogs but I’ve been reading. Give me another week to get on the good foot and I’ll be back to normal!

Enough of that.

Hope all is well with you all. What’s been going on lately in your neck of the woods?

Just Another MANICure Monday

Hey!

I feel like I have been so scarce around here lately and for good reason…or not.

Last week/weekend was extremely long in the most tangible and intangible ways possible so I kept my manicure simple this week. Nothing fantastic just a good ole one color job. No sparkles, no accent nail….nothing!

This week I went with my good and trusty low cost $2 polish from Walmart.

MANICure Monday 0114

This is the NYC brand and the color is Times Square.

I”ll be back on my nail mojo next week. Thank you all for linking up. Can’t wait to see what you come up with this week!

Family Weekend

Weekend Wrap Up

This was one of those whirlwind weekends that has left me feeling every bit of frazzled and delirious.

Saturday morning we headed to Orlando to attend my husband’s cousin’s wedding…or I could’ve just said my cousin in law.

Roadtrip

We came back home one child less. My stepdaughter spent the holidays with us.

Anyway.

We left here with ample time to get there before the six o’clock start time but of course there was traffic. We finally made good time after the traffic and managed to squeeze out a little time to hit the outlet on our way to the hotel. We did a little shopping, grabbed something to eat and we were off rushing to the hotel to get ready for a six o’clock wedding that started an hour late.

Orlando Premium Outlet

I had an awesome time. My husband has a huge family, so whenever they get together it is fun to be had and plenty of pictures to be taken. We wobbled, cha cha slid and loudly/ratchetly rapped along with Trinidad James.

Addy dancing

She danced the entire night. Matter of fact we had to hold her hand to keep her from running on the floor during the first dance.

Fun.Times

The wedding ended late, we went to bed late, and got up early to hit the road back to the A. Got back here around 4 and I went right back out the door to do some grocery shopping. Came home and cleaned up because my Dad is coming to visit from Las Vegas today! I am pretty excited about that.

In a nut shell that was  the quick and dirty of my first weekend of 2013. How was yours? Anything exciting?
