Christmas Holidays Life

I’m Baaaaaack!

Did ya miss me?!

Took a few weeks off to get well, enjoy the holidays and just reflect on my moves for 2014.

Christmas was well. We didn’t go all out for the children, each was given 3 gifts except for the baby. Lil Mama was blessed with 5 gifts, but she’s a baby still so yeah!

We decided moving forward that Christmas would be more about building traditions so Christmas Eve we made cookies

The baby woke at the crack of dawn. I tried to put her off for a few minutes. That Southern Comfort mixed with Hennessy had me sleeping goooooooood, you hear me? My son got a tablet, my stepdaughter a laptop and Addison got her own baby tablet better known as a Nabi

I’m glad the holidays are over. It always seems like life is suspended and then everything goes back to normal. Now I’m just counting down the days until school is back in session. These folks are driving me crazy over here.

How was your Christmas? Anything spectacular happen? Anybody get engaged? Anybody get a new car?

Disclosure

Tuesday afternoon I had the pleasure of heading up to Honey Baked Ham’s Alpharetta headquarters to take a tour of their facility and learn more about the company, their business model and their classic and holiday product offerings.

Soundfreaq Sound Spot

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Soundfreaq. I received a Soundfreaq Sound Spot to facilitate my review.” ALL opinions are mine. You.Already.Know

I have these moments where I can watch television and then there are times like now when it wouldn’t matter if we had 5 or 0 televisions in this house. The general consensus is I am a music girl. Music has always been a big part of my life. I had an aunt who went to sleep with the “Quiet Storm” playing all night long on the radio, so in my sleep I heard music. Saturday morning when I heard my mother crank up the radio or turn on Soul Train I knew it was time to get up and clean up!

I normally just put on my headphones and listen to Rhapsody or iTunes and clean or do whatever I’m doing, but now I don’t have to because I was sent two Soundfreaq Sound Spots to review and I know this is going to sound corny but they are “freaqing” awesome! Initially I was all like why didn’t they send me two of the same color but reviewers can’t be choosy and when I heard how well the bass sounded I was sold.

How was Thanksgiving?

We laid low over here. As you can probably tell I failed miserably at NaBloPoMo this year. It wasn’t all my fault. Our internet went out..as in Charter had to come out here and do something to the line so I blame Charter that I wasn’t able to finish the challenge. To be honest I’ve been struggling with blogging for the past month or so. I just don’t know if I’m really into it any more, or if I just need to take a break or just take it back to the day when I didn’t care about all of the other stuff that came along with it other than having people genuinely come here and interact. Quietly LaShawn was all up in my head when she wrote this post

Anywho! Thanksgiving was great around these parts. I cooked a little sumthin’ sumthin’, family brought over a little sumthin’ sumthin’ and we enjoyed each other as family should. We hosted at our house so the refrigerator needs to be cleaned out. I just don’t even want to think about that part…ugh.

I didn’t hit up any Black Friday places except Target and I didn’t get what I came for but after reading about the aftermath of some of the activities on Black Friday to be honest this year was probably the last year I will be headed out. I am coming to realize it really isn’t that serious….We’ll see. I say that every year!

So we finally got an Elf on the Shelf this year. She has been named Bella and I won’t tell you how thrilled I am that she is a little chocolate drop like my Addison.
