It’s November 10. To say I’m a little perturbed by the fact that in the matter of a week it has jumped from Harvest Season/Fall to Christmas/Winter. I need a buffer.
This was my daughter’s first year playing soccer and I have to say I have been pretty surprised at her athletic ability throughout the season. While this is her second season playing an organized team sport, I think she is really getting the hang of it and for lack of better words my girl hustles on the field.
You would think as many shows as I watch on HGTV coupled with all of the home blogs that I read that I would be more sure about my décor decisions. Let’s not forget that my bestie Erika Ward from the old days of riding the city bus after school and stopping by the corner store for Laffy Taffys is one of the best interior designers I know, yet I continue to be unsure about design decisions in my home.

Having the proper lighting in your house can make all the difference. When we moved into our home the prior owners installed dimmers on the kitchen island lighting, under the cabinets and above the sink. At night I like to dim the lights and it casts a calm and relaxing glow into the house.
