How was Thanksgiving?
We laid low over here. As you can probably tell I failed miserably at NaBloPoMo this year. It wasn’t all my fault. Our internet went out..as in Charter had to come out here and do something to the line so I blame Charter that I wasn’t able to finish the challenge. To be honest I’ve been struggling with blogging for the past month or so. I just don’t know if I’m really into it any more, or if I just need to take a break or just take it back to the day when I didn’t care about all of the other stuff that came along with it other than having people genuinely come here and interact. Quietly LaShawn was all up in my head when she wrote this post
Anywho! Thanksgiving was great around these parts. I cooked a little sumthin’ sumthin’, family brought over a little sumthin’ sumthin’ and we enjoyed each other as family should. We hosted at our house so the refrigerator needs to be cleaned out. I just don’t even want to think about that part…ugh.
I didn’t hit up any Black Friday places except Target and I didn’t get what I came for but after reading about the aftermath of some of the activities on Black Friday to be honest this year was probably the last year I will be headed out. I am coming to realize it really isn’t that serious….We’ll see. I say that every year!
So we finally got an Elf on the Shelf this year. She has been named Bella and I won’t tell you how thrilled I am that she is a little chocolate drop like my Addison.
In other news:
After watching the Soul Train Music Awards I am coming to grips with the fact that Tamar Braxton really grates my nerves. She can sing I won’t take that from her but all that “extraness”….please miss me with that.
My car will be paid off on the 10th of this month and all I can think about is getting a new car. I know….I know…. I’m going to hang in there and be car note free but something real grown and sexy is calling my name. I hear it in my sleep. It’s even been discussed….y’all pray for me.
There is only one huge goal on my list for next year. I’ll share shortly because the ball is rolling. Grand opening shall be in August #NameItandClaimIt
My husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas and honestly I said nothing. I think I am finally getting to the point in my life where material things are nice but mean nothing. I’m on a building wealth kick and making sure my home is nice. Because he insisted I said I wanted the kitchen painted #lame
What’s been going on in your neck of the woods? Did you Black Friday shop? If so what did you get? What do you want for Christmas? What was your favorite dish from Thanksgiving? Tell me something!

December 2, 2013 at 1:50 amI made a sweet potato cheesecake for Thanksgiving that was awesome. Hands down favorite dish.
I did a bit of black Friday shopping, and caught a few deals, but it was soooo stressful that I doubt I’ll ever do it again.
For Christmas….. I dunno, maybe an Amazon gift card so I can ball out in the kindle store. Since I’ve been writing seriously, I’ve been reading like a maniac.

December 2, 2013 at 8:40 amThanksgiving was quiet we put up our tree and relaxed I cooked but nothing grand I wanted to take it easy this year. I did go out Thursday night for some deals got a few things but I was waiting for today to shop easier and most places are offering free shipping.

December 2, 2013 at 10:25 amHappy “after” Thanksgiving! We hosted at our home this year so we cooked everything: the turkey, dressing, macaroni and cheese and all the normal stuff! My favorite dish I made was a red velvet cheescake that was a knockoff recipe from Cheesecake Factory and it was EVERYTHING! My guests were gone by 5ish so I was able to partake in some Black Friday shopping. I did Wal-Mart, Old Navy, and Target. My experience at all three stores was ok…I got everything I went for. ๐

December 2, 2013 at 12:58 pmthanksgiving was nice in cali. My Granny has been here from ATL since the 12th of November and it’s been great having her here.
I haven’t felt much like blogging lately either. I’ve been more interested in writing my second book and ideas for a third. My mind is too busy to blog I think lol.
Be car note free for a year or 2 before you get something new. I wish i could have stayed car note free longer than 3 years but my old car had other plans. I am enjoying my new car tho. All the extra space has been great. but the note makes me want to cry a little.
I’ve been the “I don’t want nothing” for christmas type for some years now. The gifts don’t mean much to me but I love giving to other people. It’s just how I am.

December 2, 2013 at 7:09 pmThanksgiving was….I really couldn’t write much about it on my blog beacause a few of the people i wanted to talk about found it… o_O.
Anyhoo, we got back, put up our Christmas tree last night and the elf came out this morning.
I’e been car note free for 2 years now and I am fighting getting another with everything I am. But Cdub has other plans.
I want all.of.the.things. for Christmas! But will probably get none of them because I think what I want costs too much to ask someone else to buy. soo…I’ll take that new leather camera bag…
I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling “meh” about blogging lately. Usually it passes, but this time, I don’t know. All I know is a change is coming.

December 2, 2013 at 7:40 pmWe did Thanksgiving in the A. The women in my family LOVE black Friday shopping so we were out Thanksgiving night and Friday. It was fun. I did some shopping because I’ve decided I don’t want to be a frumpy mom ๐ I want some things for Christmas, but most of them are things for our home. Our elf showed up Sunday morning and we put up the tree yesterday.

December 3, 2013 at 9:50 amI just heard of Elf on a Shelf last year on some blogs. I will not be participating in it. LOL! If you want a new ride you should get it. YOLO!
Can’t wait to see what you have in store for the new year.

December 11, 2013 at 11:04 pmOur Thanksgiving was low key. I don’t Black Friday. Those same deals will be after Christmas and the New Year to make way for Spring merchandise. Material things aren’t worth my life or safety. We celebrate a day thanks only turn around act a donkey over electronics that half the consumers end up returning before Christmas.
If my laptop wasn’t dead I really wouldn’t want anything for Christmas either. Don’t get me wrong I have a wish list but that’that’s stuff I want to buy for myself. I enjoy being my own Santa and knowing I have saved and worked hard to treat myself.

December 12, 2013 at 10:08 pmOur Thanksgiving was pretty good. My MIL came to visit and that wasโฆ Anyway, I think every Mama deserves a nice ride. There is something to living without that car payment though. I like Tamar and her “extraness” has grown on me. I can’t wait to hear about your new business.
Oh. And we have an Elf too. His name is Stanley and I don’t move him around as much as I should, LOL!! I’m a slacker!
