Tech Gifts for Busy Women

Thank you to Intel for powering/sponsoring this gift guide.

Time management is a huge component of being successful as a busy women and/or mom on the go. “No time wasted” is one of my mantras and it simply means that every minute of my day needs to be devoted to something to ensure my life runs as efficiently as possible, and I can climb in my bed at a decent time.

Products that are easy to transport and have the power to connect to wifi/bluetooth wherever you are can turn those downtimes while commuting, waiting on a lesson, or at a game entertaining and productive.

Here are a few tech items that make great gifts for the women in your life that are constantly on the go.

1 | Intel Lenova 920 Yoga This is the gift that keeps on giving. Whether for a mom on the go or any member of your family, the versatility of this laptop and the speed of the 8th Gen Core processor makes light work of traditional work actions, streaming and powering other high tech apps and products that they may already own. Based on its performance capabilities, the Lenovo 920 Yoga makes subsequent gift giving a little easier during the year. Just keep gifting tech products that will work seamlessly with the laptop.

2 | Canon G9x Mark II This camera is sleek and pretty! It’s wifi/bluetooth enabled so you can easily download images and HD recorded video to your computer for editing or sharing from wherever you are. You will capture great memories with 20.1 megapixels and HD video capabilities. The camera is also touch screen.

3 |Bohm Headphones The sleek look of these bluetooth/wireless headphones are head turning. These are great for listening to music or your favorite podcast while on the go.

4 | Streaming App/Magazine Gifting an online subscription to a magazine or streaming service whether it be for books, music or movies is a great gift. I love Real Simple Magazine, and my sweet neighbor has gifted me a subscription for the past two years. Most print versions of magazines now come with a free online subscription that can be accessed from any phone, tablet or laptop.

5 | Stylish laptop bag Protect the laptop with a stylish and functional carrying bag. This one from Kate Spade is a classic.

If you’re into gaming or know someone who is, you may consider buying a league smurfs account, I’ve heard amazing things about it so check them out!

And to go along with that, my friend recently looked into improving his broadband speed. He wasn’t exactly happy with his service so he looked to change providers. He found a fantastic quote through Usave. On top of saving money, he has the service he has always wanted. If you were interested in getting the right broadband for yourself, find more here.

Friendsgiving Plans

We finally have a menu and it was absolutely none of my doing. For the past four years we have hosted at our home and I have taken charge of planning the menu and doing the shopping but I’m happy to announce that this year the table has turned and my husband is taking over the festivities this year. He is headed to the farmers market in the morning to gather our trimmings.

Everyone including me has been assigned their dish via group text. I was  assigned the cranberry sauce. Yes, I shall open the can, tip it over until the cranberry sauce slides out, and the remainder of the time I will be seated with a glass and decorating my house for Christmas.

Did I mention we will be eating off of paper plates and drinking out of paper cups. We are skipping out on fancy this year, and I am truly looking forward to our laid back gathering of friends and family.

I’m thinking of coming up with some fun games like charades and maybe amp every one up to go Christmas caroling. I may get crafty and create some type of silly place settings I’m still thinking through some non traditional things we can do to really focus on being thankful for what this year has given us, specifically each other.

I’m starting to feel flustered at all that must happen in the next four weeks but I’m just breathing through and tackling one day at a time. I encourage you to do the same.

How is your Thanksgiving planning going? Are you cooking or washing the dishes?

Elf on the Shelf Finale

Bella and Charlotte have been a Christmas tradition in our home since 2013. Just when I thought I would move on to another tradition and let everything out of the bag, today I was excitedly informed that Addison had gotten word that Bella and Charlotte are busy at the North Pole packing their suitcases to come see us.

WHYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I think the elves moved a whole 5 times last year. Now I’m left holding my plan in shattered pieces. I am committing to making this the best year ever for her memories. There will not be a next year, Bella and Charlotte will turn into regular Christmas decor in 2018 and find themselves placed amongst the nutcrackers and garland like everything else.

Maybe I’ll come back with a printable and a fun list of places to hide them to share with you by Wednesday. Please don’t hold me to this.

Excuse me, while I go try to remember where I put them.

Currently

It’s been a long day. I’ve done way too much in 24 hours and my capacity for creating something extremely thought provoking and insightful to fulfill my blog a day challenge is non existent.

So I’m doing a “Currently” post that I am borrowing from Lashawn. Basically it highlights all of the things I’m into right now.

Queen Sugar. I’m behind and I’m trying to catch up but I’ll just say d*mn Darla.

CURRENTLY MAKING

…a mess. I’m trying to get my Mom Cave together and sometimes things  have to fall all the way apart before they come together. There is stuff everywhere.

This oven roasted chicken for dinner tomorrow

CURRENTLY FEELING

A lot better from the other day.

Like the energy of some folks around me isn’t right. I know I’m not everybody’s cup of tea, but I’m the most non malicious person ever. I won’t start anything but I lie in wait, and watch everything. If someone calls me to play, I will oblige them.

CURRENTLY LOVING
